My wife an I have been getting messages from random people that we've never played with, that say nothing but 6000 (credit symbol). I can only assume it has something to do with glitching 15th prestige on MW3, but I'm not sure. Anyone else getting these messages?
Like I said above, I've never played with these before, tried submitting a player review, and it said I've never played with them before...
I used to get those messages all the time while playing Call of Duty. It was really bad back in the MW2 days.
If you come into a forum and don't read what anyone else writes and just make your own thread for it, while there are a bunch of threads already about it, I can see why that would get annoying to members who have been on a site for a long time and have seen all the threads about it already. It's better to search, find the thread, and post in it.
If you necro an old thread and don't have anything to add to the conversation- just post "lol" or "I agree" or something like that, then why bother posting at all? If you bump a thread talking about something that is no longer applicable, or start up a discussion that may have been a hot button topic or on the verge of a flame war, then it makes sense that people would be annoyed by it.
I think the bottom line is that if a post isn't actually constructive to the site, it's going to get people's hackles up whether it's in a new thread or an old thread- because it will look like someone trying to boost their post count or whatnot.
On the internet, where your written word is your voice and all that other people know about you, quality is far better than quantity.
But also, some people are just assholes and like to bitch. Can't forget that one.

On other forums (I don't want to name names) I have witness occasions where a new member would say bump an old thread on the topic of Castle Crashers. In this thread, users discussed how much they were enjoying the game and maybe were looking for partners.
If said new user just bought Castle Crashers and is enjoying it, there stands no reason why he or she would not want to share their enjoyment with total strangers. As such, the new users bumps the thread and makes an on topic post of how much they are enjoying the game and are looking for a partner.
I have witnessed members of forums become irritated when such an old topic is revived for discussion.
I simply find it silly that new users should search for old topics before making a new one, yet they should not revive old discussions.
Side note: I have purchased Castle Crashers but have yet to play it.
That's where the last part of my post comes in, I guess.

Go up to the header, directly under the main page logo and click on forums. Then decide what category your thread falls under. For instance, if you want to make a thread asking whether people like MW3 or Battlefield better, click on Gaming. In that forum, there is a "new thread," tab.
Just a suggestion, though, if you plan to make a thread like the aforementioned, please search first! There are many threads out there! If you do have to make one, make an intro thread as well so we can all say welcome!
