Yep thats what happened to me. I was playing Gears 2 online and it booted me off, saying I was signed in somewhere else, and then popped a message telling me that it was against policy to have my name and it told me to change it. I randomly picked 'A Drunk Gambler' but i'll probably end up changing it again sometime soon lol.
