Yes. CBS cancelled it after season 2 leaving a bunch of questions left unanswered. That's why David Lynch made the movie after the fact. The movie is a prequel. I have the the complete series Gold Box Edition on DVD. For years the DVD set of the show never included the pilot episode cause it was owned by a different studio. The Gold Box Edition is the first set to have it. It's still worth watching despite being canceled to soon. The movie is worth ONE viewing. I didn't care for it because it's just another David Lynch mind job (like Mulholland Drive) that does the series absolutely no justice.

Especially on Twin Peaks.
I remember watching just a few episodes back when it aired when I was in junior high. My dad was a big fan and I remember thinking "what the fuck is this show?!" I wanted to start watching it again years ago but had to wait till the re-released it with the pilot.

I think I reached the hostage with .2 seconds left and as soon as that door opened I paused the game and took a 5 minute break just to breathe, lol. I DID NOT want to shoot the VIP
