My son gets his cast off today. He's really looking forward to 2 things - guitar and gaming. It's amazing how much a broken thumb can really screw up 2 months of your life.
Ooh his thumb? Ouch. How'd he do that?
Touch football in an empty paved parking lot.
When I asked him what he wanted to do first when he got home - SHOWER! I had no idea how nasty a cast could get. YUCK!

R.I.P. Monty Oum, a great inspiration to gamers and animators everywhere. You will be truly missed.

I wonder why they sold? Loss of profits?

I'm in sooo much pain! Freaking wisdom teeth never came in all the way and I never got them removed. I've got an infection and it's just the worst thing ever. I'd rather have a vaginal birth and a csection at the same damn time than deal with this tooth pain. The worst part is I'm going to have to get them taken out and I can't imagine that's going to feel better.

It sucks for sure but in the long run, you'll be glad they're gone. I had all of mine removed. One grew in before the others. Had it pulled. Then a few years later, after putting up with two of the remaining ones throwing my bite off for over a year, I finally broke down and had the rest removed. They were able to pull those two but an oral surgeon had to cut out the last one. That sucked because it left a nerve exposed and it took almost three months for it to completely heal and the lingering pain to wear off.

You get drugged up, so the only negative is that I couldn't lay down / sleep the first night, for some reason laying down was painful, so slept upright. I had all 4 wisdom teeth out at once many years ago.
Gives you an excuse to eat ice cream, though.

I had all 4 of mine removed when I was 16. They impacted them, basically broke them inside my gums and then cut my gums open to dig the pieces out. Got some good drugs, spit blood in a cup for a few days, but felt better in the long run.
Worked at Wal-Mart back then, they wouldn't let me have the day off, so there I was, working in Electronics, spitting blood into a cup in front of customers all day. 3 hours into my shift and enough people had yelled at my manager for making me work, he finally decided to let me have the rest of the day off paid, and the next.

I had my wisdom teeth involuntarily removed in boot camp in 1985. I was on light duty for 2 days and that was the only break we (there were a bunch of us) had.

Had all mine removed when I was 17. Still have them in a little container, only one broke during extraction. I can post a pic if people want.

I had all 4 surgically removed a week or two before my senior prom (many, many years ago). And I kept mine in a container, too! My wife thinks it is gross; I think it is awesome!

Yeah I'm really regretting not doing it back then. They didn't even start coming up until I was 27 though, and they didn't become painful until recently.
Living on an Advil/ Tylenol cocktail right now, balls. I'm going to just have them knock me out, but of course now I keep coming across all these stories about people dying during the operation. >.< They say you aren't supposed to work out or drive for at least a week after the procedure, but I was driving around within a few days of my csection... I can't imagine this would be tougher recovery.
