You can sell it on eBAY for more-- I've seen broken ones on sale while I was searching for my japanese 360, you'd probably get more for it too if the tray's the only thing wrong with it.

Gamestop DOES take them. They had a extra 50% on broken hardware coupon on the rewards zone site awhile back as well.

Finally beat Mass Effect 2 on Insanity (japanese version), now I can use my knowledge to do a USA insanity playthrough for full achievements. For anyone interested, go solider... had 2 previous tries as sentinal that went nowhere. Soldier's adrenile rush saved me at the end, & I had jacob's (barrier) as my additional skill- whenever shields dropped just powered them back up again.
Currently playing through ME3 as well on Insanity, that's my last achievement on that. My tip is that the ammo in that game is a lot more sparse- so do the Eden Prime mission early & I equipped everyone with the partical rifle... no ammo required. It immediately breezed me through a few missions.
