The Florida justice system is a complete fucking joke.
Stand Your Ground wouldn't work for Hernandez anyway though cause he's clearly not an insecure white racist. What I was wondering thru this whole ordeal is why the investigators and prosecution never brought up the question as to when Zimmerman turned the safety catch off on his gun. Are we supposed to believe he was able to pull his gun and flip the safety while floating in and out of consciousness as Trayvon Marin was supposedly beating his ass? Or did he flip the safety off when he got out of the car after he was clearly told not to by the authorities?

I heard the jury were Paula Deen, her brother, his friend, Michael Richards, Dog the bounty hunter and Hitler... Zimmerman was never going to be convicted.

Does embedding a video from Youtube really have to be this difficult?

all I'm gonna say is that in these type of cases we don't know all the facts, only people in the courtroom did.

But they don't have all the facts. The other person involved in this incident is dead. He could have told his side of the story.
Plus our court system (sometimes for good reason) does not allow everything to be admitted as fact.
I think it's insane that he didn't get manslaughter...

Well let's see, here are a few facts that we all DID learn during this trial as it was openly televised for all to see:
1. Zimmerman knowingly defied the authorities when he exited his car to continue stalking Martin on foot.
2. None of Zimmerman's DNA was found on Martin's hoodie, on Martin's hands or under his fingernails.
3. None of Martin's DNA was found on Zimmerman's gun.
4. Zimmerman lied about knowing the stand your ground laws.
5. Zimmerman was under the influence of ADHD medication with known side effects of irritability and mood swings.
The only question they were not able to answer is whether or not Zimmerman got out of his car with the intention of shooting Martin. I myself even doubt that was necessarily the case but the fact remains that his actions led to the death of an unarmed kid and he should've been held accountable. Florida is a "stand your ground" state but god forbid Trayvon Martin should stand his ground when feeling threatened while being stalked by an armed douche bag in a track suit.

He didn't get manslaughter because they couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman wasn't defending himself.
It doesn't matter that he got out of the car. It doesn't matter that he ran after Trayvon. It doesn't matter that he's a huge giant bag of douche. None of those things are illegal. What matters is that he said Martin used force first and he felt his life was in danger. And Florida has such an incredibly low threshold for self defense that the prosecution wasn't able to prove that things didn't happen just how he said. And once they said they accepted self defense for the murder 2 charge, they couldn't do manslaughter. There were no witnesses and as you pointed out, only one side of the story was represented in court, then they sat there maligning the character of a dead kid to the jury of white women who are so in love with the justice system that they don't skip out on jury duty like normal people.
Zimmerman was never going to be convicted. Thanks, Florida!
Ps- neither Hernandez or Zimmerman are white, Irish.

Poppycock. Dude committed manslaughter, jury and justice system be damned.
I know it's the prosecutions burden to prove he did it, however a half assed job by them does not equate to this guy getting off for something he clearly did. I don't care if this kid was beating the life out of him, it's his damn fault for being in the situation in the first place. It's not like he just was walking down the street and some dude jumped him. He was straight stalking a kid in a vehicle and on foot while carrying a gun.
Oh well, he's going to be scared for a good chunk of his life now. It would have been better for him to go to prison for a bit. Now he'll probably get death threats for the rest of his life.

I think you said it perfectly. The laws in Florida are sick. All you need to do to legally murder someone there is scare them enough to attack you then you're legally free to use lethal force. Thats just not right
