The problem with watching your own team and then rating them is that it's easy to rationalize their ability and overrate them. I can do it with the Browns, but at the end of the day, they still suck. There's a reason that nobody has heard of 95% of the Jags outside of their fan base.

and I wouldn't say 860 yards and 11 TDs in average when you didn't play until like week 5.

He played in 14 games last year. I said decent anyway, but that was only 1 year and nothing consistent.

All I'm saying is that there is not 1 receiver in Jacksonville that has had more than 1 productive NFL season. THAT is not depth. I loved Brian Roblske and think he has a lot of talent. I wish he would've panned out in Cleveland, but the reality is that he sucks in the NFL.

side note: a punter in the 3rd round is just unforgivable. I don't care who he's being compared too, he would of been around in the 4th and 5th. the only other punter to be drafted was in the 6th round.

that's like how the Seahawks took a specialist player in the middle of the 1st round, wtf were they thinking?

I'm content with the Giants picks though, got some good weapons.

Yeah, I loved Robiske when he was a Buckeye but he was a waste of a 2nd round pick.

He was the first punter taken in the top 100 in 17 years. I just don't see how you can justify wasting a 3rd rounder on the one player on your roster that you want on the field the least. :baffled:

They already moved back once and got more picks. They got their guy. We don't know that there wasn't another team willing to take him that high. I'm also really sick of people saying he is a one utility guy. Not true. His speed allows him to blitz and get to the QB well. That was the college level. The coaching will work with him and utilize his speed, his skills look a lot like Von Miller.

Bruce Irvin IS a specialist, watch the tapes of him. he isn't that good when a play breaks down, he's only good at rushing the passer, that's it. he's overall not that great, i'm not saying he can't get more well rounded and better as he's raw potential, but IMO there was a bunch of better options and way to early to draft Irvin.

The difference between us is that I'm not defending Cleveland's stupid picks. I'm actually grounded in reality. I've seen a ton of bad picks in my time and I call them like I see them. I don't try to find ways to justify and rationalize.

It's laughable how high of a pedestal you put yourself on when so many things you say make you sound so dumb. Just because people don't agree with you, doesn't mean they know nothing.

Okay. Although I prefer to moderate privately, this is easier for me. Everyone in here getting heated about this stuff needs to bring it down a few levels. Everyone needs to remember that all this stuff is a matter of opinion, and even if you feel the person is has no grounds to have said opinion, they are allowed, and personal attacks are not necessary.

This being said, I don't want to have to close this thread, nor be directed in here from another thread because there are problems. Consider it a universal warning to all that if personal attacks continue, suspensions will be handed out. Also please remember that someone insulting your TEAM is NOT a personal attack, and to just drop it.
