I think I'm finally gonna cave in and buy Fable Anniversary. However I'm debating over getting the whole trilogy for $20 more. I don't currently own any of the games and I have Fable 2 completed 100%, so I'd really only be playing the first and third one. Opinions?

I'm a collector so I like displaying all the games in the series. Fable 3 is a waffle but probably the weakest. I'd get it for the achievements and Reaver comical moments.

Kind of neither, I guess? I can't remember if there is button timing, but there is a lot of moving around during turns and whether you're in sunlight or a patch of shadow on the field changes your attacks... It's been a long time since I've played it though, so I can't remember specifics, but I think the combat was closer to a Tales game than straight up turn based.

It's technically turned based but it's action oriented. Similar to Magna Carta for example. It's not as fluid as Tales or Star Ocean but I remember the battle system being one of the FEW things I liked about it.
