So I borrowed Sonic Forces from work -- it's an ok Sonic game, but would only recommend to fans. It's cool that you can make a character and I like that the species each have unique traits. There needs to be a way to conserve momentum when jumping. I think I will finally bite the bullet and buy Sonic Mania b/c playing this reminded me how I enjoy this crap.

Yeah I did quite enjoy it. I know that it's far from perfect and I personally wish a few things had been different. But it was fun nonetheless. Got all the chievos in that one

So...bought bridge constructor and half the achievements are at 100% and wont unlock, apparently this is a known issue with this game, but it still makes me angry that I basically have to randomly wait for them to pop...

I finally got my Raspberry RetroPie custom gaming rig. I ended up finding a different one from an Etsy dealer that has a shit-ton more games. Dont order from that online merchant I linked a couple months ago. I placed my initial order in October and they had to cancel and refund a bunch of orders while they switched payment processors cause they claimed the payment processing site was holding funds and not releasing them for 30-60 days. They offered a 10% discount upon reordering. Placed my order on 11/3 and waited about two weeks before contacting them again cuz I knew they'd be slammed with reorders and I was under the impression with them based in Tampa that they had those payment processor issues after a bunch of orders were effected by the hurricane. They claimed to be just three guys trying to start a business while two of them were still working other jobs. They did all their customer service contact via Facebook messenger and only got to them on Saturday each week. For then next two weeks they kept telling me they were about to ship a bunch of orders and never did. They told me they were having the same payment processor issue dealing with Shopify but a Shopify rep told me they don't hold funds that long but some site like PayPal do. I found out on their FB page that a bunch of other customers were having the same issue and then another online merchant messaged me telling me the nostalgiafix guys were banned from both eBay and Etsy for the similar issues. So I then messaged them to cancel my order and requested a refund and told me I was contacting my bank. Didn't hear back from them for over two weeks. I had already ordered and recieved my new rig on etsy and I love it. Gonna follow up with some pics but it has basically every system prior to the N64/Dreamcast/PS era. You can run emulators for those on RetroPie if you want but they apparently lag pretty bad.
