They are gonna lose out on a lot of customers for this garbage. Now is the time for someone else to step up and make a new service. I for one will be canceling netflix once the price increase happens.
Even if they lose half their members but the other half keep both the instant and DVD they'll be making the same amount of money while having to pay less postage for the people who have the DVD plan, so they're actually making more with half the customers. Then they'll make EVEN MORE with the people who sign up and just want the instant since it doesn't cost them anything for people to instant stream.
Online licensing agreements are the only thing AJ forgot and since Netflix really done not pay for newer stuff and keep the same old crap selections! Yeah they make money no matter what!

Is anyone else having trouble connecting to netflix on Live? Every time I try to boot it up, it says "We're unable to connect you to Netflix. Please try again later. Support: netflix.com/tvhelp"
edit: It finally booted up after I turned my Xbox off and back on twice!

Ran it a few hours ago on my other account. Didn't have any issues. Perhaps something was wrong with your internet connection?

Yeah, it's worked fine all night since then. That's the first time I've ever had a problem with it.
I just thought it might've had something to do with that update yesterday.

Does anyone know what that update did anyway?
EDIT: Never mind, just an update to get ready for the BIG update later on this fall

They are estimating that close to 250,000 people are gonna drop the first day the price increase happens. Thats a ton of money lost. Netflix isn't even that good almost all there shit is old and they dont carry a ton of titles. if you want to watch a lot of re-runned tvs shows then get it by all means but its just not for me.

Meh, they'll be fine, I saw something in OXM I think it was saying that over 50 of internet bandwith is used by people on Netflix at the most busy times of the days. I've been on a movie binge lately and have been using the DVD service alot, I think their DVD service is pretty excellent, they have every title I ever look for and I always get my next DVD within 2 days.

I downgraded my plan to the 2 out at a time and kept the instant viewing.

Damn, that will really hurt them.
I'm really interested to see how things turn out for Netflix in the next couple weeks.

that and hulu.
i read that it is not making a lot of companies happy that people can watch there stuff for free. FOX is making you sign in with your cable/satellite provider username/password in order to watch there stuff online. Heard a couple of other networks are going to be doing the same.
