I think people are confusing "Sacrifice" with creative choices. They already said they chose to include less party members and recruitments so they could focus more on deeper backstories with the primary cast.

I'm not a fan of the idea of having multiplayer on ME3 either, but instead of bitching and moaning about it, focus on the good things of the game. At least it's not required to play multiplayer to complete the story or to get all the achievements. If you don't like multiplayer, then don't play it. Bioware could have been dicks and made multiplayer only achievements, but they didn't. It's not like they're forcing it on you like other games do if you want to 100% it.
