I cant wait for this game. I only have one problem with it. And its the sensitivity on the camera/aim control. The demo didnt let me adjust it, but hopefully the full game will. Im excited.
And The Godfather 2 was soo trash... one of the most boring games I have ever played. Which is surprising, cuz I love anything Mafia/Mob. It pisses me off that its even called the Godfather. Pissin' one of my favorite series of movies...

I am excited for Mafia 2 also. I pre ordered the Collectors Edition. The aiming was a bit weird for me too, but I drove around most the whole time
My biggest concern are the shadows. On the demo there seemed to be horrible shading on the back of the car in mostly slight shadows. kind of like a huge checkerboard of black covering the back of the car, and it was real annoying. I hope they fixed this since they made the demo. The Godfather 2 wasn't too bad, it seems I beat it pretty quick when I got into it, but once I beat it I never touched it again, even when I thought to myself I would play it later lol.

I purchased the game the day it was available for pre-order, however, after playing the demo, I was really disappointed with the actual game play. The aiming was not very fluid and it all seemed a little dated for a game that took so many years to produce. The developers spent a lot of time manicuring the visuals, but did not spend much time in developing the game play which is what we buy these games for
The game world and graphics were absolutely incredible and very pleasing to the eye, but the game play to me seemed to lack and was more of the same old dated style. What really bothered me was when I was taking cover against walls, I could see the outside of the building and totally turned me off and I canceled my pre-order. This game is not worth the $60.00 in my opinion. I will purchase it later at a more reasonable price as I am a Mafia / Gangster game fan.

Consider yourself lucky. The first one was pretty damn lousy. I played on my old PS2 and thought it was terrible. You couldn't drive 5 miles over the speed limit without getting the fuzz on your ass. I downloaded the demo yesterday but have yet to try it out. I was a big fan of the Godfather games even though II was kinda corny.

I really like the vehicle acceleration, it seems pretty smooth, the steering seems like they tried to make it smooth but isn't quite there. But you know, it's hard to get stuff just perfect on a game. So much coding too that many people overlook.

I agree with the cop thing. I really disliked it when I would beat down someone and almost everytime, the cops could come and investigate, I wouldnt get wanted but i thought they were just put there to annoy me and limit me from going on a punching spree

At least you were beating someone down! I was just DRIVING, and I guess I was going too fast, I went past a cop and all of a sudden I was wanted! And it's like- 3 bullets and you're dead. XP I tried to bribe him once, and another one walked up and I had to bribe him too?!?!?!?! Ugh
another thing (driving) is that when someone runs into your car, YOU get wanted and held responsible
and with the bribing, sometimes the bribe amount is REALLY high

Haha glad to see I wasn't the only one not impressed with the demo. I had the same thing happen to me when driving too fast and also had the graphics glitch and bug out on me when I was covering against the outside of the building next to the door. Then I ran in the building and literally got shot two times before I could even get in cover and died and had to restart the checkpoint with the turret up in the window. The car handling is a little off and the camera has a weird feel to it when you're sprinting as well. Seems like they spent all their time on the graphics and not enough time actually playing the game itself. Oh well, maybe the final product will be much more polished than the demo, but the demo has me a little worried.

Buy mafia 2 at kmart and get a $20 gaming coupon, but not first without using the $20 gaming coupon from buying SCC, Alan wake, or BFBC2 for 40. so buy mafia 2 for 40 and get $20 back. your welcome!
