I understand what your saying, what I'm suggesting is that the leaderboard be given a new look to resemble the gamerscore leaderboards instead of being in text forum format. It would still be possible to input the data manually through a spreadsheet process or other I'm not familar with since I know little about things like this. It could also in theory be made to automatically update by the system itself but as Mini pointed out it won't include doubles and other versions of certain game thus making the leaderboard inaccurate overall unless the way the system calculates games as a whole is changed.

My main concern is that the leaderboard be more pleasing to the eyes instead of being in text forum format and have more of an offical leaderboard with the data inclosed.

Lol, I feel like I may be repeating myself, but here's the thing: if the completion leaderboard becomes an official XBA thing, there's no reason to have someone update it. The site has the capability to pull information from xbox.com so thereby (barring the few games that would need added) no one would need to do anything - it would be automated.

It's like when we added the competitions, it used to be a user run event - now its automated. Barring the occasional person that needs removed for gamesaving or manipulating the system, it's self contained. Having systems like that, or the GS leaderboard which is automated and simply policed by the staff is a lot easier than having a system that is entirely up to one person to handle. This is why I feel that if it becomes "official" then the other issues need addressed.

If you simply want the current one to look nicer, that's DVader's department since he is taking the time to run the thread.

Wait a moment, I thought we were throwing around the idea of completion percentage badges and now we're going to have a leaderboard for this, too? Maybe one or the other, but not both.

It would be the same thing as the site has for gamerscore, there are leaderboards to track progress and there are also waffles awarded for certain amounts. I don't see how this would be an different...

I'm not sure you read my idea, I am merely asking for a change in the look of the leaderboards to something more official. The idea for badges and whatnot are by another member but I also like their idea. I don't know why everytime a new idea gets proposed on this site one or more long standing members tells that person to go else where instead of taking the idea into consideration. It seems like most are not willing to make any changes to the site. Change is a natural part of life and is inevitable for the evolution of any website.

We would all like to see changes being made, but like it has been said before Jackson is the only person who codes this website. (Unless I'm mistaken)

It's not that everyone is shutting down the new ideas being brought up, it's just that in order to implement these ideas into the site takes coding, it's not just go to the site and edit in a new tab here, or a new leaderboard there. (Again, I could be wrong about this) It takes time and effort, which Jackson is limited to.

I realize that, I really do. If enough people were on board for an idea I'm sure Jackson would be more willing to make the changes being asked. If only a few people are on board then I doubt any changes will ever be made. The long standing members have way more say then normal members and its important that all of them be heard. Mo I appreciate your input, it just seems some are not ready for any changes. Most changes suggested would only make the site better, I don't see many negatives that would go along with them. I know this won't happen overnight but I would like to hear everyones opinion on the suggestions not just made by me but all the current ones being dicussed.

first off, you have not actually proposed anything that would require YOU to make changes, or do anything at all actually, so not sure why you phrased it that way.

Second, you're asking people for opinions, then getting pissed off when not everyone jumps on board. People not liking your opinions is suddenly "fear of change" when maybe you should consider that the fault lies with your ideas.

We have a leaderboard for completion %. It is run by dvader, and like Mini said, if you have a suggestion for a cosmetic improvement, let him know. However, it needs to be in thread form, since people post for updates.

I'm not trying to hate on you now, but you need to take a step back for a second. The servers were changed, and 1/2 our members can't directly get on the site now. The site gamercardcreator.com is down, the cards in sigs won't update and the site redirects to here. The admin has not been on in weeks, or even addressed the problem, but you think the most important thing we have to work on when he comes back is automating a system that we're already doing manually- with a system that won't even be as efficient as doing it manually? And anyone who disagrees with you needs to grow up and embrace change?

Something that doesn't seem quite right with your suggestion that the Game Completion Leaderboard needs to look better -- you give me props for running it, but this idea is indirectly saying that I'm not doing a good enough job for your liking and that you'd like someone else to do it instead. That's why I posted previously about what happened when I started doing the newer version of the leaderboard. And if not everyone is in agreement with your opinion, you get upset that your ideas are not being taken into consideration. So as it stands, for now I will keep doing the leaderboard as is and not make any major changes to it, because as I said the current format is easy to update.
