Gamerscore HACKERS policy review
03/24/10 5:30 am | #1
Recently the influx of Gamerscore Hackers seems to be rising at an alarming rate. The current website policy is to wait until microsoft resets the gamerscore but as of late, MS has only been able to keep up with the gamerscore that are over 500k coming in at over 25 a day. I have personally seen several hacked gamertags that have sat on state leaderboards for months on end. In my opinion, not only does this taint the integrity of the leaderboards but in also taints the integrity of this great site xbox america. Other sites such as x360a and trueachievements do not allow these gamertags to use their sites. I'm suggesting it's time xbox america implement the same policy.

yes there should be a button on like trueachievements.com, where you can report there gamertag for game saving and the like.
zdeeboz-----------WOW what a loser....yea right yours is not hacked. I must say I have to look down at this website that they allow for this misconduct to go on their site

While this is a good idea, I don't believe XbA has the man-power to handle something like this. X360a and TrueAchievements are mainly geared toward achievements, while XbA is more community driven. Yes, a lot of people come here for the leaderboards, but that is usually not the sole purpose. Policing the leaderboards, researching and then removing possible GS hackers would be a full time job in itself for more than one staff member.
I kind of appreciate the fact that hackers only drop when Microsoft resets them; it still gives us legitimate players something to shoot for. Plus, removing them from the leaderboard may make your rank go up by one or two, but there is still the fact that said hacker is still on XBL, with his score still legitimate in Microsoft's eyes.
