Fallout 3 DLC Question

For those Fallout 3 veterans that have played all of the DLC: I recently got a GOTY edition and was curious to see what order you would recommend playing them in. Also, do you play as the character you created at the beginning of the game in the Pitt and Anchorage DLC or are you a new character?

I think in one of the DLCs you're a different person... but you are like same level as your main character. At least I think . Anchorage is like a virtual matrix thingy with your actual character.
As far as which one to play first... I dont think it really matters. The Mothership one was kinda boring, so I would either knock that out first, or save it for later.
(I should buy Fallout 3 again... Kinda want to play it. It was one of my fav games.)

Yeah, I figured it didn't really matter what order you play them in. I guess I'm looking for more of a ranking. I like to save the best for last.

Least Fav -> Fav
Operation Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt, Mothership Zeta, Point Lookout, Broken Steel
That's just me though. You play as your character.

Any particular reason/s why? What made the Anchorage one your least favorite?

My favorite was point lookout. Least favorite was mothership zeta. I'd say do anchorage first due to some of the goodies you get from it.

I beat that one really fast, it felt too easy for me. The best part was....
If you don't want to read that, basically, the end expansion looting.
Exactly.

After defeating the final boss, the Chinese General, you get his awesome sword and get to loot a supply closet.

Anchorage just feels weird compared to the rest. You"ll see why once you get into it, but its definitely different from the rest. But the goods you get in the end more than make up for it though. Just make sure once you finish it you completely raid the final room. There is indestructible armor and a stealth suit to be had that comes in handy. Though I think Broken Steel is the only one where you get to use your own equipment if I remember correctly.

Yeah Anchorage to me felt like... it wasnt big. Like the map was just narrow, and there wasnt really anywhere to go, or anything to see. Just snow...and more snow, and compounds. Really boring. But like Duffman said, you get bad ass stuff at the end.

Id wait to do Mothership Zeta last, for some reason that one gave me a lot of trouble but the extra levels/loot from the other DLC helped out. IMO the Pitt is by far the funnest/most badass DLC so I'd knock that one out first you'll enjoy it and you get some sexy looking power armor.

Operation Anchorage, Mothership Zeta, The Pitt, and Point Lookout can be done during the main quest in Fallout 3. Broken Steel is a continuation of the main storyline.
Don't go to Point Lookout until you finish Tenpenny tower and get the mask - it helps a lot.

This is very true about the Pitt. Although you can get some pretty pimp guns out of Mothership Zeta.

I didn't care much for Point Lookout or the Pitt. Just found them both kinda boring, and the steel ingots to collect sucked. Anchorage was awesome, cuz it's basically your character but you start with nothing. Broken Steel and Zeta I thought both kicked ass. Zeta got a little slow near the end but the weapons in that DLC are insane. I would def go into Zeta with a mostly empty back pack cuz you're gonna wanna keep everything. And if you want the achievements for everything be sure to check a guide because you can easily miss it and have to restart.
