It has a lot to do with what abilities you are using, champion point setup and rotation.
Meta, I can craft you training gear. Just shoot me a message when you are on. If you Warden, go high elf so you have that nice magic pool and damage out put.

Shadow, what the heck are writ vouchers? I have done a few 'private writs' for epic gear and I get paid well but the guy always hands me a few writ vouchers. They don't appear in my inventory so I am not sure if I even keep them.
By the way - thank you very much for the crafting set up, it has saved me a bunch of time trying to locate the crafting station the customer has specified.

You use those writ vouchers to buy things from Rolis Hlaalu in Mournhold. Checkout his inventory. Luckily you are my friend. I charge 10k a week for others to use those tables lol.

I somehow missed all the emotes and stuff the previous times I played, but I love how many there are and how in-depth they go.
I had a cool moment this morning where one of my quests took me near a dark anchor event thing. I joined in the big fight, and after we defeated and looted it, this one girl did the emote to play a song on mandolin. 3 people did sit down emotes, I did the drunken dance, and 2 other people would stand there and clap intermittently between dueling. We all sat there for maybe 7 or 8 minutes emoting and stuff while she played, and then everyone left. I used to love random moments like that in MMOs, way back in the dark early days, and it was cool to experience it again.
I am having a lot of fun with my altmer magicka sorc, just hit level 12 I think. I played around with the PvP a little, following Shadow's advice to stay in it until 6 for Vigor heals.

Nothing to be sorry about. You are more than welcome to use them. My casa is your casa.
Vigor heals are for Stam characters. Sorcs have more powerful abilities to use as they level up. As a sorc you'll use power surge and shields. Sorcs are my favorite class to play.

I remember when I was playing this religiously last year, I came across one guy who stood in one of the village squares in Valenwood for a couple hours just doing the lute or drum emotes over and over while begging for gold donations like a street musician. I remember leaving to do a quest and coming back later and he was still there.

Massive huge thanks to Shadow for the help, money and gear! I'm feeling similar feels to the good old days of Ultima Online, EQ and WoW when things were fresh and new. Exploring and fucking around is just as fun as grinding. 😍

Shadow - my last bit of research on wooden shields is "nirnhoned" WTF is that?

You are most welcome Meta. You need anything, you just let me know.
Mo, nirn is a material found only in Craglorn. You find them in resource nodes like rubedite ore, or ruby ash or anything you pull out of the ground. Let me when you are ready to research it and I'll send you a nirn shield to research.

So like... is this game any good and should I sink a trillion hours into it? I feel left out

It's a lot of fun. The best way I can describe it is like playing a hybrid of Oblivion and Skyrim but with more engaging combat and there happens to be a bunch of other people playing too.
Despite it being an MMO, there is a ton of stuff to do besides regular grinding. Most everything adapts to your level so you aren't restricted to specific areas/zones that are "appropriate" for your level. The quests are fun and interesting -- they aren't all just "get x number of y items then return".
It seems limited at first since there are 4 classes (plus a 5th that's dlc) but as you level up and discover new skill lines, you get more and more options to shape your character's playstyle.
The community is known for being toxic but this is apparently more the EU servers. I am on NA, and so far all the groups and guilds and individual people I've interacted with have been helpful and nice (and I don't just mean Shadow )
