You don't want to shoot at a cave for hours? Then don't. Do patrol missions and bounties. Once you level up vanguard to level 2 you can buy the armor you need. Then buy more to dismantle and upgrade yours. It's not supposed to be short and quick.

It may not be the best MMO, but hey, it's pretty good. If you played WoW when it first released I bet it was the same repetitive shit over and over too. If you go into it thinking you'll be the max level without putting in the time, then that's pretty stupid too. I know people who have over a year play time in Diablo on PC, but they're still doing the same things trying to get better gear.

Does anyone know when you dismantle exotic weapon and gear what do you get?

Go to the materials in the weapon's description. It will tell you.
I dismantled a few pieces of exotic armor not for my class and got shards. Ascendant shards for the armor and energy for the weapons.

Vanilla-WOW let you strip down to your underwear. You can't strip down to your underwear in Destiny.
Clearly, this needs to be patched.
Would make cave farming a lot more interesting.

I got exotic bounty Depleted Hand Cannon. I'm not use what is "Use void damage to defeat guardians in the crucible." Is that for Warlock but I'm Hunter. Could someone help?

Sadly this game is far more boring then the typical MMO. No reason to play it past 20. White items can look exactly the same as legendary due to the lack of unique skins outside of exotics. Even when you do farm sexy stuff you have to replace it for ugly items just because it has more light. So customization is a lie. Also the "End game" content is misleading. Strikes give you dick (most of the time) and offer up nothing better then if you just played PvP. So what's the point? Defiance kept me playing longer.
Grinding which is fun in most games is done poorly here. Enemies spawn in the exact same spot on cue. Since strikes are pointless all you need to do is sit around and kill the same mob for hours. Great times...not. MMO's at least give you bosses to look forward to. It would be better if you could trade but that would mean they would lose money selling you items via $ download in the future which is highly likely given the drop rates.
Compiled with the fact PvP itself is unbalanced (If you don't think so fight someone with a exotic weapon) and it has one of the worst excuses for a story in the history of the genre. I'd say the honeymoon is over for me and Destiny. I honestly expected more people to be pissed off they sold us 50% of the game. The only two relevant things about the campaign (if you can call it that) is meeting the Queen and Exo Stranger both of which are shameless DLC bait. Thanks for nothing Bungie.
Destinies story =
Now hold it off for 5 minutes while I open this door
Do that same mission like 50 times and...
The End.

Did you play the raid? Or the level 28 heroic mission? I doubt it.

Yeah that's not going to happen. You're more then welcome to do it and maybe get a legendary engram or two that will just give you green's and blues anyway

I've had maybe 20 legendary engrams without farming, just strikes. The only piece of armor I bought was the exotic chest for my Hunter. But before I bought that, I had almost 2 sets of legendary armor which I then broke down to upgrade my current stuff. I haven't been able to play the raid because only one person on my friend's list is 26 or higher. Can't start it if a single person in your party is 25 or less.
Anyway, I've had 3 exotics from legendary engrams that weren't for my class, which sucks. Still only 2 legendary heavy weapons. I really enjoy the game though, and I've only played maybe 5-6 mp matches. Looking forward to dlc.

It's not a bad game but I find it somewhat perplexing. It's not a MMO, It's not really built for PvP (3 classes, 4 modes etc) nor does it have a campaign just the false illusion of one. I think in a few years it will be a more complete experience but I definitely feel ripped off right now. For those wary individuals without a season pass you basically paid 60 dollars for 8 hours of horde missions, 6 lackluster cutscenes and broken MP
All you're really pointing out is it has things for you to do if you grind for twenty times the length of the actual campaign. WoW has things for you to do while you grind. This has less then nothing. Unless you like standing around in Tower while people play with the beach ball thing.

I've gotten all legendary items except for my rocket launcher. it's the final piece I need to get the achievement. just have to farm resources sucks. I don't know why they didn't include an option to buy them at a store or something. I hate farming for stuff in games whether it's collectibles or items to upgrade my armor/weapons. it's super annoying.
the mp is more balanced then I thought originally. there's a lot of things that can 1 hit kill you (player abilities, secondary weapon, special weapon, certain melees and grenades) I realized the issue was I was approaching this game like halo or another fps, when you need to approach it differently and more cautiously. capturing points isn't as important as the game leads you to believe, there is more of a focus on kills and getting streaks going to perform well.
I'll probably get a few people on my friends list (and real impluse and shadow machine) to try out the raid sometime since everyone seems to have hit 26 now.
the lack of end game content is pretty disappointing though.

welcome to the end game of all mmos. it's a lot of running dungeons and the same areas to get drops for better gear to be then be able to run better raids and drops.

Only it's not a MMO in the least. What other MMO has such limited character customization, lack of bosses or exploration (The game literally kills you for going outside it's small ass areas). You connect with a fraction of the players at a time via matchmaking and sometimes go hours without interacting with a single person because you can't trade or sell anything. This is basically Halo with a town hub. Nothing more.
For example Defiance is a open world with seamless transitions into raids and missions. If that is a FPS/MMO then Destiny is as alien as that type of game as you can get.

the whole game is instanced based that's why.
