Thats like asking if water is wet, and for the people that claim they never got scared, you're a souless vessel sent to earth by aliens to ruin everyones fun.
The games opening gameplay sequence really sets the tone for how screwed up this game is, i'd suggest buying adult diapers for nighttime play.

Yeah its scary. Way scarier than the first game in my opinion. The atmosphere is so much more freaky than the first game. Since your on a space station instead of a engineering/factory ship you go through weird settings that off set the scare factor. Like I just got down being in babies room with bright colors, toys, and a lullaby playing... it was very peaceful.. until baby necromorphs jumped out and tried to eat me.

I have put about 7 hours into this game, and am really pleased with it. I can easily say, that this game will run for Game of the Year. All the complaints I had with the first one, seemed to have been corrected in this sequel. I can finally say, I got my moneys worth for paying full price.

I tried the MP a little while ago, and I must say its actually pretty fun. The funny thing is that the humans usually have the better K/D's but the Necromorphs usually win.

Alright, so I completed my first run through of Dead Space 2 and was going to go through on Hardcore mode, but when I go to my new game+ it only lets me go through it on Casual...any help on how i can access the Hardcore Mode?

I'm looking forward to play this and its so hard not to read anything about this game until I've beaten it. Maybe I'll trade in some of my older games for it. Cash it tight.

Maybe you have to go through it on casual or normal to unlock hardcore. Wasn't that the case with the first Dead Space? I can't remember cause I only went through it once on casual. I wanna get this but not sure when I'll get around to it. Maybe from Gamefly.

lol...yeah, its all good though Irish......I found that I cannot take anything with me through my Hardcore playthrough from my previous one....gotta start as a brand new bare ass baby

Yeah I am serious dude, it does suck I agree with you. I spent an hour and a half upgrading all my stuff because I was told you could....oh well....I am starting my playthrough tomorrow morning.

I was doing a 2nd playthrough on casual to do mop up and finish upgrading all my shit to carry over to Hardcore eventually, Idk if I wanna do all that work on Hardcore now especially if you can't carry over your upgrades :mad:

DLC is a lifesaver for Hardcore, but what bugs me is to have only 3 saves (and no checkpoints).

That's going to be a weekend project for me.
