by your logic, that means calling out homosexuals, rich people, niggers, celebrities, criminal, ruling figures of a county, etc etc out in public (like saying "omg, look at that faggot/celebrity/stupid nigger over there!" or something like that) is also completely useless and unnecessary. but its ok to do that in public (well ok, except for around racist whites the nigger one isnt very socially acceptable, but still) why is this special?

I'm having a hard time following what you're trying to say. I usually don't go around calling people ignorant names unless they're Bob Saget.....that guy, he deserves it. Could you further explain your grand dragon-esque viewpoint?

flatt said that calling out cheaters publicly is completely useless and unnecessary. in general terms: pointing someone out because of something specific/obvious about them is unecessary to do and completely useless.

so i applied his same logic to other things i hear people getting pointed out because of something obvious about them. i hear people who get pointed out because theyre OBVIOUSLY rich, or OBVIOUSLY gay, or OBVIOUSLY a celebrity, or OBVIOUSLY a whore/hooker etc etc....

by his logic, calling them out because of something specific and obvious is completely useless and unnecessary. but yet that happens everyday and thats socially acceptable. so why should we have to make an exception for cheaters/gamesavers?

i know what you're trying to say, but how can you just look at somebody and say "oh he's obviously gay" or "he's obviously a whore" or even "he's obviously rich" i know people do it, but that's called stereotyping, and that's BAD! It might be "socially acceptable" to some people, but it's A) morally the totally WRONG thing to do, and B) not the kind of environment i think we support here, at least not directly we don't.

This is an XBOX forum where cheating is something obvious, and when the proof is there, it's just the truth and nothing more. Cheating is a punishable act, where as being rich, or being gay (at least in a civilized society) are just part of life. Yes, i understand being a whore/hooker may or may not be illegal, but that's besides the point. You can't just look at somebody and say "oh they must be this or that." But you can look at somebody's played games list and see that they clearly cheated

Pointing out that somebody is cheating to an admin is good, because it gets the, taken care of, but starting a rant about them in the forums is unnecessary and often leads to flaming and arguments. Let's just respect what Mini said and leave it at that.

ok, rant over :D no disrespect to anyone, im just trying to make a point

i didnt start an argument. minioger said dont publicly call someone a cheater out here in the forums, you should pm a mod. my argument has very little relevance to what he said. you are obviously an idiot if you think im 1. arguing and 2. disrespecting his rule. if i was disrespecting miniogers rule, i would be saying 'OMFG (insert someones gamertag) IS A CHEATING HACKER!!!" or something stupid like that...and im not arguing. im questioning a logic. its quite different. thank you for showing you didnt pay much attention to anything being discussed. good day.

idk bout where you live, but where im at stereotyping happens every day. its like basically socially acceptable here, and a lot of people dont seem to morally have a problem w/ it or they wouldnt do it. now i mean i cant speak for the rest of the world, but i have a feeling there are people/places everywhere where this is also the case. now YOU might say its morally/socially wrong/unacceptable, but i know theres a lot of people who would disagree w/ that statement.

well being a hooker is illegal, or atleast im pretty sure in america it is. i know in germany you have to go get a license to be a hooker (dead serious) but idk if that applies in america too. and thats "just a part of life" too, since we all know hookers are there. i mean really they dont have much relevance to the subject at hand, i was just using them as an example.

and no reporting a cheating to an admin really doesnt do much. oh dam, they got reset on a leaderboard. they can just cheat their way back to the top. nothings gonna stop them from cheating just because they got reset on a leaderboard. and im not ranting. if i was truly ranting i would be shoving randomly stupid bs stuff i found on wikipedia down your throat and would really have a stupid argument, since a lot of rants against people are just stupid arguments anyways (not all, but some)

and why does people keep bringing up what mini said? all he said was to not publicly call someone out for being a cheater. i havent done that so why are people saying to respect his rule? i have in no way broken that rule. i havent said anyone was a cheater. what does his rule about not publicly calling someone a cheater have ANYTHING to do w/ what im asking? seriously? i would LOVE to know.
