I think the golden keys act weird sometimes. I used one in a game this morning since I have 2. I took the weapons and went on playing. About and hour later I saved and left the game to go get lunch. I came back a little while later and continued to play. I still had the weapons I got out of the gold chest, yet I still have both of my keys. Not sure why this happened, but I'll take it. Now I have 2 keys for later in the game.

If it let me transfer a key, I would. I don't even know how I got the second key. Though I could always open the chest and let you take the loot. Because the ones I got the first time I opened the chest weren't better than any of the guns I already had.

and you have to fight those giant ice monsters (which if your smart you will just run up to them and hit their yellow patches of gold on their legs,just found that out after wasting like 25-30 missiles),they put my bank up over like 25k,the part where the sanctuary moves

Your almost forced to do side quests, due to the scale of the difficulty. I have done so much side quests, i end up side questing my side quests. lol. still stuck at level 25 too.

Quick question... Can you get more golden keys throughout the game? And if so, how? I accidentally used mine without realizing and I only took one of the guns because it was the only one I could see myself using and I had a full inventory at the time.

when you're at the main menu go to extras > shift code then register for a shift account or go here
shift.gearboxsoftware.com
once you register for a shift account you will be given 1 golden key & gearbox said that additional golden keys will be earned/unlocked thru shift accounts but i don't think they've said how yet.
I also found this on the xbox forums
"Randy Pitchford said he'll start tossing out codes on Twitter soon. His Twitter acct is @DuvalMagic"
and after signing up for the shift code i recieved an additional gold key because i maxed out borderlands 1 so i ended up with the pre order gold key and 2 keys for shift membership

well that would explain where my mystery 3rd key came from
I 1750'd Borderlands 1 as well, but am not getting a third key. Any ideas?
