You're completely missing the argument I'm making. I'm saying the technology inside it is done. Yeah you will still get madden, assassin's creed and call of duty, but not much else at this point. You are also comparing a system that over 9 years gained and lost a lot of functionality. Just look at how slow the dashboard and achievements take to load now. I've had it take upwards of 2 minutes after my console turns on just to look at the main xbox live dashboard.
The 360 and ps3 will only be relevant as long as the userbase is there, once it begins to die off as more people switch to current gen and pc, you will see a steep decline in the amount of games, and the quality of them. You already see companies like ubisoft having to make separate games due to the technology disparity between the consoles.
360 and the one launched at the same price. fyi
and what functionality are you referring too? Apps, games, what exactly? You're using vague terms to encompass your argument without clearly defining what they mean.
The 360 isn't going to remain relevant for as long as you think it will. It has about another year of quality releases, and then it will just essentially be the yearly iteration games released to hit sales quotas. Last gen went on far too long and made the system really show their age.
