I don't think it will be, I don't know why the fans can't just be happy about another borderlands game being released! I'm excited. I honestly don't care much for the labels that get out on them as long as they've got substance and surpass expectations! That being said -- although tale of the borderlands seems like it's just a money maker because of the same play style as the Walking Dead -- it really could turn around and prove us all wrong! Only time will tell.

I really do hate when games make like five add ons all with achievements for like 5 or 10 a piece. That is what pisses me off and I can totally see that as being a cash grab. However this game hasn't even come out yet, but it's probably safe to say it will ultimately follow the footsteps of it's two predecessors.

A last gen game, made off the old engine, without any graphical improvement, made by a different studio because the original studio has said they want to move away from b'lands, that essentially is being called a professional mod by people who have gotten hands on time with it, and will be released after a year or less in development. Following up 2 games that had copious amounts of dlc that can only be described as a form of microtransactions that last as long as the money is flowing...
Anyone who isn't a series fanboy (girl, haha) is going to view it as a cash grab. It's what it is. It's what dead island riptide was and saints row iv and anything else that should have been dlc or an expansion.
That said, enjoy it if you're a fan. I'd enjoy the fuck out of any fallout or elder scrolls cash grabs. I paid for every stupid dlc that Skyrim threw at me. I paid to build a house and harvest materials. No regrets. Because it's true luv.
But for those who aren't fans, this reeks of desperation and it's going to get called out as such.

Yeah with titanfall one vs 360 the 360 really showed it's age. The fact they won't make it for current gen as well shows its simply just a cash in instead of building a quality product to push the series further.
That said I may play it, but after extensive time with the Xbox one and ps4 last gen consoles just can't hang anymore, and for good reason they around 9 and 8 years old respectively.
Imagine still using a phone or computer from that long ago.

Borderlands 1 was new and Awesome. BL 2 was pretty much more of the same but to me felt less exciting and more scripted. The constant dlc finely just burned me out. Now hearing about a new one but still only on last Gen just made me groan. I've already completly deleted both BL 1&2, and all dlc, from my 360 hard drive.

I'm glad they're still making "last gen" games, because some of us aren't fortunate enough to be able to afford the new consoles. Which is one of the reasons why I appreciate that they still are making games for the 360.
And everyone is entitled to their opinions, which I have read all and respected. Personally, I hated borderlands 1. It was slow and messy. I was impressed with borderlands 2, because the graphics improved, there were more options and gaming styles. The storyline, I thought, had a lot more content and substance to it as well as the characters, but that's just me. Maybe It's just a preference, I don't know.
I will admit, having to download the compatibility pack every single time there's a new dlc is tedious and downright annoying, but for us fans (and I speak only for myself) the skins and heads and humor that come with the dlc is kind of addicting. I mean we get to build on our badass point system, and it helps us evolve our characters a little more diversely.
God, I feel like I'm defending myself against the masses.
Anyway.
I'll just stick to what I said before.
I'm excited. and that's enough for me.

I like the series but I won't be buying it on day one. I will wait for a sale then buy the DLC when it's on sale and completely skip the season pass that doesn't include all of the DLC anyways.
