I just finished Swan's Song by Robert McCammon. It was really good. Also just watched The Darwin Awards today... good film though a little weird.
Hey what was the Darwin Awards about?
The Darwin Awards are about weird and strange (and sometimes stupid) ways people end up killing themselves.
The film is kind of like a "dramody" (comedy + drama).
I don't really given spoilers on films, but I am sure IMDB.com would have the info you need.

I wish I had more time to read!! anyone heard of augusten burroughs?? I don't know if you've read any of his books but they're a biography of his life and let me tell you, I couldn't put any of his books down nor quit laughing half the time I was reading, they're very humorous.
I read
Running With Scissors. It had some pretty funny parts, but I just really wasn't that crazy about it. The part in the book where he goes into details about having sex with that older guy was unnecessary in my opinion. I doubt I'll read anymore of his stuff. However I do want to read his brother's book,
Look Me In The Eye: My Life With Asperger's.
I wasn't talking about that book specifically because that's the one he's most well known for but Dry & Magical Thinking were so funny. Magical Thinking doesn't go into any dirty details but does mention the men he's been with. They were really humorous to me. I haven't heard of Look Me In The Eye, I read most of his books a few years ago and haven't seen anything from him in awhile.

Do you know if he's any relation to William S. Burroughs? He was one of the noted beat generation writers along with Jack Kerouac and a few others. I personally had no taste for his work. I tried to read Naked Lunch and found it to be a load of shit, all revolving around doing smack and sleeping with teenage boys. I couldn't finish it, maybe got 100 pages into to it before I almost threw it away.

They aren't related I don't think.. well Augusten was gay and he was writing a biography about his life but it wasn't really all about sex or anything he would just talk about different parts of his life, jobs, landlords, boyfriends and stuff and once in awhile it would talk about his relationships but that's not all it was about.
