yeah.... OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAND times out of 10 low budget sucks.
one exception to that would have to be Pitch Black. i saw an interview with the producers and they said that entire movie was done on like 25 THOUSAND bucks. launched Vin Diesels career.
well neway im going to see transformers tonight. hope it rocks!

If you haven't already, you should should check out Showtime's Dexter and Brotherhood. I'm pretty sure that both series' 1st & 2nd season are available instantly. I know for sure that Dexter is. Dexter is in my top 3 favorite dramas right now. Season one is absolutely killer (no pun intended) and Brotherhood is on par with The Sopranos in my book and my book means business. It's about two Irish brothers, Tommy (Jason Clarke, most recently played John Dillenger's right hand man 'Red in Public Enemies) who's a State Rep in the Rhode Island House of Representatives and his older brother Michael ( Jason Isaacs, most notedly as Lucious Malfoy of the Harry Potter films) who is a prominent player in the Irish Mob in Providence.
It's a really good series.

i did enjoy pitch black.
i also liked the blair witch project. about as low budget as it gets right there.
as for a series, i did enjoy what i saw of harper's island. had a good ending.
the first season of heroes was really cool but then it went waaaaay downhill.
twin peaks is one of my favorites, thanks to jen.

I really loved Heroes then I got to the last 10 episodes of season 10 and just fell out of it, it got kind of repetitive which is disappointing because I was so into it for the first 2 seasons! I like Dead Like Me.. I just picked up Season 3 of Six Feet Under, I don't know if anyone has seen that but it's a very entertaining series in my opinion. Thanks for your recommendations.

I forgot to mention you can't lose with any of FX's series. The only show on that network I don't like is Nip/Tuck. The Shield was the best cop show I've ever seen, they just finished it this spring. Three of my favorite dramas right now are Rescue Me which can make you laugh your ass off one minute and make you teary eyed the next, Sons of Anarchy which 2nd season starts in Sept., and Damages. They also have the funniest comedy in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
On the movie front I wanna see Inglourious Bastards, http://www.imdb.com/features/summermovieguide/2009/movies/inglouriousbasterds
and The Hurt Locker

Travel Channel's Man vs. Food is a great show. If ya haven't seen it this guy, Adam, goes all over the country looking for legendary eating challenges. 15 dozen oysters in New Orleans, a 7 lb burrito in Denver, a 72 ounce steak in Texas etc... My favorite is the one he did in Columbus, the Dagwood Challenge at the Ohio Cafe.
