I can't decide if I'm putting Arkham City on a pedestal (One of the best games on 360) or this really is a huge drop off in quality and innovation. It's definitely not bad by no means but I'm having a hard time finding the motivation to play it for long amounts of time.
Edit: It should also be noted that both Asylum and City offered completely unique areas. This is just a snow palate swap of city with decorations. The Multiplayer is the only new addition and with only 4 maps it will burn out pretty quickly.

Agreed, there are far too many glitches and there's hardly anyone playing the MP.
The freezing is really annoying!

I completely agree, they fucked with just enough stuff to throw it off a bit, and the MP sucks ass for the most part from what I tried out today.

I wouldn't say you're putting Arkham City on a pedestal.
From what I've read, Origins doesn't really add much new, it's just "more".
City was a huge deal because it had the gameplay everybody loved in Asylum but moved it to a big city format and went crazy in to the lore from the comics. I'm not even a Batman fan but I enjoyed Asylum a lot and felt like City was a great step in the right direction.
Without having played it, I feel like it was maybe too soon for Origins to come out--either that, or it should be more like the 3ds one which has a "metroidvania" feel. Anything to differentiate it from City more.

I hate to say it but Origins has a expansion feel (More so than Saints Row IV). Adding snow and changing the character models is not worth $60.00.
While I don't necessarily agree with the score (at all) this review has some good points.

3.5/10 is outrageous though.
The fact they pointed out that the game lacks any kind of actual "Origin" story for batman made me chuckle.

I beat this earlier today. 3.5 is low but i'd only give it a 6/10 max. Just on the last two levels alone it froze three times and had two glitches I had to reset checkpoints to fix. These aside every other aspect of the game is either rehashed from Arkham City or a step in the wrong direction. Without the two previous games this is a mediocre to passable title. With them it's a greek tragedy of gaming and should be stripped of the Arkham name.

I had a damn good chunk of the game knocked out. The rumor on the block is that sometime next week they are supposed to do a title update. Hopefully that will recover my save.
