OK so the idea of making a walk though-esk section of XBA Over at the "What do you want?" thread and now we need ideas to make it original and interesting. In other words a Community Brainstorm. What I think we need to look for is an innovative Name for walkthoughs (or roadmaps)and new features to make it our own

Just expanding on the road map thing
Maybe under each game in the game section there would be a "Guild and road maps" section and then have an option to create your own. Then the one user created one would go into a "Un-confirmed section" untill it recives enough positive reviews. So then anyone could make their own guide for whatever thing they want and have a rating system to see which is best. Then if people make a bunch of separator approved guides a staff member could unite them all into a Official guide and credit and link all the contributing guides with links.

That's fine! If a few people would like to sign up as a team and tackle the more difficult ones, it could only make it better. Also in the end, input from everyone can be edited into the guide as better ways to achieve are found.
My point is that there MUST be some semblance of order, and not a free for all, as there are hundreds of preexisting games that people are going to rush to do, just to be the man. I used Avatar as a joke, but if there is a game that tons of people have completed, like that or the 2k6 games, etc. we don't need 25 guides by 25 people.

to make a guide you need a a certain percent completed. just bc of the fact that when a new game comes out there wouldnt be a guide for it FOREVER! idk how u would get past that point but just my 2 cents. maybe have multiple ppl make a guide together so they can get it a guide up faster? more ppl means more ways to earn the achievements so that way u can get the easiest way possible.

As long as you make sure to give credit to the original author I do not see the problem in including a few helpful outside sources but the majority of the guide should be completely your own.
