Well I like some RPG's, there just aren't any good ones out. I like Oblivion, and BioShock was great.

ME is more FPS than RPG you can pretty much set everything to level itself up and just equip different weps/armor and still beat the game with little to no difficulty.

It combines the management-aspect of RPGs, and some of the story information, as in how it's relayed, but it has the straight-forward action and obvious story elements of an FPS.

Definitely try it, and stick with it at least until you get out of the first big station area before you make a final judgment.

The game really sold me when I could take control of my ship for the first time and this entire map opened up to me. It was awesome.

ya know...now that you said that, I think that is when it sold me as well...I rented the game and couldn't get into it and quit right after I beat Eden Prime...but than I bought the game and forced myself to play after hearing so many people say good things about it...Once I had control over the ship I was all shits and giggles over the game from that point on, lol.

I need to pick it up again so I can finish my other walkthrough achievements.

And like Rev said, there are some things you do throughout the game that changes what happens later on (either big or small change) like I was trying to get my Paramore Achievement which is the complete a romance subplot...and I was diggin on two the girls....figured it was a sure fire way to get my achievement from that playthrough...ended up later on in the game both the women confronted me...and I had to pick amy, got my groove on, and got the achievement...lol

Interesting stuff like that happens throughout the whole game depending on your actions

i love the game

I was pleasantly surprised on my second play through that I had skipped an hour of game play simply by making a few different choices.

you should have seen my face when they both confronted me in the room where you have all the meetings (for some reason the name of the room escapes me) I had the same look on my face as I did when it actually happened to me in high school, lol...it was priceless

after it happened I couldn't stop laughing because I didnt expect that

I just left the ship and finished the DLC mission before I traded it in, I forgot what I got for it, but I had to trade the game in...I have Mass Effect coming in next on my gamefly list so I can finish it...but im glad you said you missed an hour of gameplay by making different choices...i knew each playthrough was different, but I didn't know exactly how different it was.

Well I went all good and then all bad for the achievements. Then halfway through again and stopped because I had forgotten who was in my party and that I was probably going for another squad memeber achievement but couldnt figure out who after like 5 missions when I got back to the game. I liked the DLC but it was just way too short. If I remember correctly being bad was more straight forward, less talky more shotty, lol Wep achievements were fun though.

I believe i only have a couple more weapon achievements to get...i know the sniper rifle is one of them, uugghh....Im going all bad for my second playthrough, I didnt get any squad member achievements for my first playthrough, i stayed pretty consistant with the same squad members so I thought I would have gotten at least one of them

Its easiest to use the two human players you get at the start of the game and to get the squad achievements you need to complete MOST of the side quests too with them, there are guides out there but I think it takes more than just the story quests to get the achievement.

Just a tip, you have to do every side quest and collection quest with the squad member to get the achievements, not just the main story line. Ashley Williams and Kaidan Alenko are the easiest squad members to get these achievements because you start the game with these two.For the other squad members, Make sure that you get them added to your party as soon as you can and before you start doing any side missions. Then take them with you wherever you go.
