I wasn't expecting much from this but it was very enjoyable sci-fi horror animation. The voice work was decent and the story and action were good. Even if you're not that in to the game, this is worth watching if you like "darker" sci-fi in the vein of Event Horizon, or violent anime--'cause if you mixed those two together, you'd get this movie. Loses 1 point because the art style and animation quality could have been a lot better. They should have spent less money on marketing and more on using CG art to polish things up and tie it in closer to the game.
Pretty good movie. I actually like it when they don't follow the original exactly. I loved how they
worked in the mechanical owl from the first one
I didn't see it in 3D so maybe I would have liked it better? I don't know, I think the 3D thing is cool but I don't feel like wearing glasses everytime I want to watch a movie.
I got everything I expected out of this movie. It had some really good moments, a great cast but just like most of his films, Judd Apatow drags it out 30-40 minutes more than necessary.
