the movie was bad ass and it was slightly funny haha
its a must see XD
Normally I love stoner flicks but this movie was forcibly retarded. It tried really hard to be both slapstick and sociopolitically snarky, but ended up just being dumb.
As a rule I generally tell people not to watch stoner flicks unless they are actually stoned, so maybe that would help here, but I doubt it.
i know, i know... i was deprived as a child lol. this was my first time watching it.
where shall i begin...
i was blown away at first. one of my favorite movies of all time is pulp fiction. this movie really has the same flow, and i love it. the acting is dead on. the script was perfect... until the vampire shit.
it got REAL cheesy after that. my god. i love me some action scenes, but they really pushed the limit with this movie. i found it completely unnecessary and dumbed down, but then it picked up right where it started. the story got back on track and key characters died! you don't really see that anymore! lol.
in the end, it was awesome. i look forward to watching it again.
as a side note, i think rodriguez is much more talented than tarantino. at least lately.

I remember going to see that in the theaters and thought exactly the same thing. I still loved the movie but thought it became real cartoon-ish when the vampires came out. Cheech's cameo was priceless. I have to disagree about Rodriguez being better lately. I thought Death Proof was immensely better than Planet Terror and Inglorius Basterds is the best flick I've seen since The Departed and the best Tarantino film since Pulp Fiction.
Personally i thought this movie was terrible. It had some jump parts, but other then that i thought it was more creepy then scary. Maybe it was the crippled lady next to me screaming in my ear that ruined it for me. <- i was honestly about to beat her with her own shoe.

yeah cheech's cameo was awesome. hahaha.
death proof was horrible, in my opinion. planet terror wasn't really awesome or anything, but i'd still prefer it to death proof. if only machete was real! LOL
