Ralph Fiennes stars and makes his directorial debut with this modern adaptation of the Shakespeare play about an arrogant general who is banished by the republic he has protected at all costs, provoking him to ally with former foes and wreck a bloody revenge. Fiennes is brilliant and Gerard Butler puts in a solid performance as well. If you don't mind the classic Shakespearean dialogue, it's definitely worth a viewing.

finally, after my 4th viewing of the film, I have come to a conclusion on it. It is a solid film on it's own merit, and only pales in comparison to it's predecessor. I note it down in my heart like I do Return of the Jedi, A good film on it's own, with plenty to keep you entertained, and it makes for a great watch, but in consideration of what came before, is just a tad of a letdown. TDKR will always be like ROTJ, a great conclusion to a trilogy, but most people will forever remember the 2nd film as the best....
Long live The Dark Knight..... Long live The Empire Strikes Back

That's exactly what I said two weeks ago. Remember?

Great minds.
I enjoyed it. I thought it was hilarious. The four lead guys all played well off each other but I thought Richard Ayoade steals the show. I also got a real kick out of how it takes place in a fictional Ohio town and Vince Vaughn has his man cave all decked out with Buckeyes and Browns stuff. Oh and the soundtrack was awesome too.
also been watching the "supernatural" tv series, great show, 'bout 19 episodes in.

Better then I thought it would be. I liked the action in the movie, though the story kind've fell flat.
I'm glad to hear you didn't think it was terrible, but still, I was hoping TR would be like a 8 or 9 out of 10... we'll see.
