A comical biopic of King George III, "the king that lost the colonies" and his battle with dementia and the political and familial treachery that resulted from it. His heir, the Prince of Wales was such a douche. Nigel Hawthorne was brilliant as the mad king and he and Helen Mirren who played the Queen both earned Oscar nods for their roles. This movie had sat in my Netflix queue for years now and I finally bumped it to the top.
I wasn't even planning on seeing this movie, I was invited by a friend, so I figured, what the hell? I wasn't expecting anything good at all, but the movie actually was very good. The best part was of course Andy Serkin's performance as Caesar, the man's a god of motion capture. I'm a little interested to see if they make another prequel (a sequel to this movie) because this movie ends
right as the Apes are taking over the world,
and in the original Planet of the Apes the
Apes already have control over the planet.
I wouldn't mind a sequel/prequel (this is getting confusing!) honestly, as long as they keep the same director/actors.
Pleasantly suprised. Heard it was garbage but I enjoyed it. I think people expected more "Ninja Assassin" and less western. But yeah it's a western.
Revolver- 3/5. good twist, slow pacing though.
9/10
These last two movies did the book some justice. Visuals were outstanding.

Exactly. I'd give Revolver a 4/5 though.

Revolver is an awesome movie!
This is not your parent's musical. The sets look amazing, the story is good. so right there, you're at 3/5. then the bad acting, and bad singing bring it down to 1/5. but then watching paris hilton's face literally fall off..... that's gonna bring it back up to 2/5.
nothing spectacular, but worth a watch, just once (yes AJ, even for you)
I don't know why, but I have this urge to watch every single movie Nicolas Cage is in.
This movie is not really good but fun to watch. The plot was totally unexpected for me, so I'll say it caught me off guard and I somewhat liked it.

No.
I didn't want to see this but was talked into it by a girl. The plot is your basic love triangle thing but it truely does have some laugh out loud moments. Its nothing special but I have seen worse movies, I'm sure females will enjoy it much more than I did however.
I enjoyed it. I was a big fan of the comics when I was younger and thought this was a fairly decent movie.

I actually felt this was a very well done movie. Overall acting/singing wise everyone was great (except Hilton), it's a much better movie than Repo Men.
I felt the same way about the movie as Nick did. I tried to give this movie a shot and thought it would have some amazing potential, but it's shitty acting and horrible singing bits made the movie fell flat. Damn shame.
