Still one of the best crime thrillers ever! I've been wanting to watch it again ever since starting L.A. Noire. Couldn't find it with a search on DirectTV so got it from Netflix. That's funny cause I think I still have the VHS of it with a bunch of other tapes collecting dust inside one of our end tables.
Takashi Miike is my 2nd fav director and in this cult classic he doesn't disappoint
Good movie, but no quite as good as I'd hoped, in regards to the other four movies I'd probalby rate them as so: (worst to best) X-men, Origins: Wolverine, First Class, X2, The Last Stand.
Plenty of action and fan service to people who already know the characters but it felt like it was missing something to me, the action was great, just not very spread out and the plot is basically given away in the previews.
6/10
My biggest issue with the original version of Arthur and it's sequel (yes, the recent release of Arthur, with Russel Brand, was a remake kiddies!) is Dudley's laugh. Some call it infectious, *I* do not.
The actual movie was okay, not as good as the first IMO, and the remake was better than either of them.
Overall I did enjoy the movie but it was missing alot of things. There could be a sequel you know, but who knows. Still it had plenty of vivid imagery, action to live up to the trailer and interesting characters.

The first question you have to ask when leaving the theaters was did I enjoy the movie? Answer. Yes, yes I did. But the flick is still full of holes, characters (aside from Hanah) felt underdeveloped to me while the action was great had an extreme number of flashing lights giving the affect of as strobe and this when partnered with a shaky camera made the fight scenes difficult to follow. The plot though was top notch, just the little things really hurt this movie.
It was alright. Ellen Page is cute as fuck.

She's so tiny though. I would break her.
