I think there is a big difference between in game boosting and gamesaving. At least in game boosting your still doing what the achv called for, granted you may have to shoot someone 100 times in the head with a specific weapon so you get your buddy to join the room with you. But you still shot him 100 times with that weapon. To me thats a huge difference. I dont agree with either but of the 2 I can put up with boosting because they at least did something in game to "earn" the achv instead of just doing a game save. Just my opinion

Honestly, I doubt it unless he continues to game save. Spartan is still an accomplished Gamer (despite game saving) who has earned a good portion of his points legitimately. The process Microsoft is using is both automated and very specific for what it is looking for.
The key here is that all game savers have now been put on notice Twice by Microsoft. Once with a warning from MajorNelson back in October 2008, and now with the hammer getting dropped on the worst of the worst of the Game savers. Notice they didn't go after everyone in this first sweep, just the very obvious and blatant game savers.
At this point in time, it would be prudent for ALL game savers to stop the practice immediately, as Microsoft has backed up their previous warning and proven they have the means to implement a very drastic penalty.
Going forward, anyone that continues to game save is not dealing with reality and opening themselves up to the same actions. There should be no whining or complaining when the hammer falls, as from this point forward game savers are just begging to get their ass kicked by Microsoft.

I don't see how this is going to have a dramatic impact on the leaders list if today is any indication. It's not like I saw myself rocket up the list.
I did want to weigh in on cheating with game saves versus boosting to hit an achievement.
Game saves violate TOS so it's wrong and violators deserve whatever they get.
Boosting on the other hand is primarily driven by the game developers. Lucky for us players there are now so many great games out there. The bad part is that it's almost impossible to find people playing many of the the games that have on-line achievements. Obviously each person can only play one game at a time. As games get older the situation only gets worse. Try finding a Ridge Racer 6 on-line game is a good example. Don't hold your breath. For the fanatical completionists out there, boosting is the only option.
Some games get it right. COD4 is a great example. All achieves were single player, but the game still had a great on-line component.
