Okay, I can't conceive what could have possibly caused this, but the site's entire crontab got wiped. This means all scheduled tasks were forgotten. I'm sort of in shock right now. It's not a huge deal I just can't understand how it could have possibly happened.
I'm working on recreating the crontab now.
I was on just a few minutes ago, and clicked on another thread. It was almost like nothing was there. Would not connect with the site!
Sorry about that. I restarted the server hoping the crontab would magically reappear. It didn't.

I underestimated your waffling abilities, everyone. It looks like the Summer Gamerscore Competition won't be on for much longer. So, to make sure the fun doesn't stop at 10,000, I've separated the competition into two.
There is the original competition, renamed Summer 2009 Gamerscore Competition - Sprint. The first person to 10,000 will win and receive an award.
Then there is a new, duplicate of the original but without the gamerscore cap, Summer 2009 Gamerscore Competition - Marathon. This one will last the full eight weeks no matter what. The winner will also receive an award.

You know, we all used to have fun on XBA and gaming with each other. It has recently become a dick-comparing contest and is becoming less fun everyday.
We as members need to reiterate on here, what made XBA great in the first place, and KEEP that attitude.
These competitions are supposed to be fun, and a select few members are removing that fun and are not even competing for the heart and soul of it, but just for a measly badge. At this point, competing lately has left a sour taste in my mouth with the Gamerscore Competitions and that is not cool to say the least.
Come on everyone, lets do a complete 180 and have some more fun and less drama

So let me get this straight Tom Peeper won the summer tournament by hitting 10,000 with a new account called strnasty254? If this is the case why don't we all create new accounts each week for the tournaments??? If this is not the case then disregard my previous statement.
Jackson I loved the idea of weekly and summer competitions but once you made physical awards for them it took the fun out of it because some people will do anything to win. Make new accounts, play on others peoples account, gamesave, etc. While none of these theories can be proven I can say that nothing like this happened when the prize was only bragging rights. Sorry about my rant had to get it out.
i agree 100%. i ranted my rant in the comp page. and i also agree with junior as well. lets just have fun with this. keep ur profile the way they r and play on ur own tags.whats the point of a comp if u have to find ways around the rules to win.

Damn, if he really did do that, that's bitchmade. Not like I had a chance to win anyway, but its not fair to the ones who really did.

Found this interesting. If you go to the forums 360 talk page 3 look for the friendly gamerscore competition #17 thread. Take a look at comment #34. Makes it a little bit easier to draw a conclusion.

I remember that. I was part of that conversation. By I'm confused. If I'm reading all of this right, the winner of the competition was Peeper?
