I am wondering the average IQ level of the repair workers MS employs. In addition to this lovely blunder, they took 2 months to repair & send me back my Xbox and when I received it, it was still broken. I am guessing that the letters warning of the sentimental value of these autographs went unread and the repairmen purposely removed the markings to be vindictive.
When a corporation grows as large as MS has... it loses focus on it's customers. If a customer is not satisfied with a product or repair then no big deal... there are other customers willing to shell out dough.
Hopefully Bungie will send this gamer a better box than he ever had before, because frankly that's his only chance at this point.
The repair center is a third party vendor. Microsoft hired them to do a job. They represent Microsoft, but they are not actual MS employees. In fact, they may not even be American citizens. The "repair center" shipping address is McAllen, TX, which is a border town with Mexico. Draw your own conclusions....
I also mean no disrespect to any Hispanic members of XboxAmerica, just pointing out some over looked facts.
