I am wondering the average IQ level of the repair workers MS employs. In addition to this lovely blunder, they took 2 months to repair & send me back my Xbox and when I received it, it was still broken. I am guessing that the letters warning of the sentimental value of these autographs went unread and the repairmen purposely removed the markings to be vindictive.

When a corporation grows as large as MS has... it loses focus on it's customers. If a customer is not satisfied with a product or repair then no big deal... there are other customers willing to shell out dough.

Hopefully Bungie will send this gamer a better box than he ever had before, because frankly that's his only chance at this point.

You know what would be really nice: If you could go to a store like Best Buy and they had a technician to repair consoles. Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo should offer console repair certifications, and then instead of having to wait two and a half months for your console to be returned from the company, not knowing what condition it is going to be in, you could just bring it to the store and have a tech you know look at it. I've done some repair work on original xbox consoles and PS2s, it would be pretty sweet if there was like a certification course for console repair.

Don't mean to get off topic here, but I've thought about that for a while.

The repair center is a third party vendor. Microsoft hired them to do a job. They represent Microsoft, but they are not actual MS employees. In fact, they may not even be American citizens. The "repair center" shipping address is McAllen, TX, which is a border town with Mexico. Draw your own conclusions....

I also mean no disrespect to any Hispanic members of XboxAmerica, just pointing out some over looked facts.

If you keep having issues with your 360 going down then the MS repair center will offer you some compensation. On top of a month of Live they restart your warranty and if you have enough systems go down the offer you a gift as well, I just got a free Live Vision kit for my trouble. Pretty much told the supervisor that this was my 5th system since launch, the last one I sent in didn't even last a month and I was upset, also told her that I wanted Bill Gates's email and threw in that I don't have these problems with Nintendo or Sony, that really gets them. But they have a pretty large large list of things to pick from, the games to choose from are very few though....
