Does gamerscore prove how good you are or just prove your a game addict, to me I think it proves how good you are because some acheivments are hard and some aint?

It's both. Sure the higher the score the more time you dedicate to playing games. Some achievements are easy and others take a certain mad determination to keep the fingers itching and the body going for that awesome "blopb-blopb" sound. I think the idea of getting achievements are addictive and in turn it becomes addictive.
Too much talking... more playing games...

To me, Achievements are primarily a fun meta-game to go after when the game(s) proper aren't as engaging.
When I see a low Gamerscore, I figure the person only really plays/enjoys a couple of games.
When I see a medium amount, I assume the person plays a lot of games and/or is a completionist.
When I see a large number, 75k+, I assume the person is a "waffler" (as XbA has affectionately dubbed them) that enjoys the meta-game of grabbing Achievements enough to jump on... less-fun titles.

Sounds like me
But I don't think gamerscore proves how good you are at games. If you're going to go by achievements to prove skill, you should check to see what kinda achievements a person has

Yeah, I definitely agree with this.
I run in to a lot of folks with 2 or 3 thousand total, but I'll check their list and they have all the Gamerscore or close to it in Halo 3 or Gears of War.
