The story continues across all six seasons with the occasional new character threaded in but there is a core of around 6 characters that the whole story and back story revolves around. It's definitely a show you need to watch from the very beginning but it is soooooo worth it.

^^ This guy knows what I'm talkin' about!
I think I was hooked before the pilot episode was even over! Irish let me borrow the first season and it was over! We ended up buying all of the other seasons on DVD and we caught up to the series midway through the 5th season. It sucks when you catch up, because you go from watching 3 or 4 episodes a day to waiting a week, and now we have months until the final season starts. UGGH!

I was somewhat coerced into watching the Invisible Man series and I have to say, it was worth it just for that girl whose super power is vomiting a large volume of water onto people.
