@ Mo, I love Grimm as well but I still have the last 6 or 7 episodes on my DVR from this season.
I like the fact they are using German - no one uses German. It's always alien or Latin or some other dead language.
Monroe - "Oh, this is written in high German - the kind that my grand father speaks when he's had too much to drink."
German makes sense... Latin or alien really wouldn't, lol.

I was referring to the writers of Hollywood - they seem to use uncommon languages rather than a language that is easy to relate to. (shrug)

Yeah, I finished off Grimm today. I gotta give it to them. They do a helluva job leaving you dangling from a cliff with their season finales. I thought they did a better job over this whole season writing for Juliette. Over the entire first two seasons, I was praying they would just fucking kill her off and put us out of our misery. I also liked the addition of Truble.
Oh and yes Beaver, Drunk History FTW. It's the only show on Comedy Central that I watch on a regular basis besides the Daily Show and Colbert. BTW, if you haven't heard yet, Larry Wilmore will be tasking over for Colbert when he leaves to replace Letterman? It's gonna be called a The Minority Report.

The leftovers is very strange. I'm not sure what to think about it yet. Penny Dreadful really grew on me over the course of the season and I'm happy to find out that I actually liked Silicon Valley quite a bit. I was afraid it was going to be another overly-awkward stab at intellectualist comedy that succumbs to overusing nerd stereotypes for cheap laughs. (*AHEM bigbangtheory *AHEM) It actually has quite a bit of charm and wit that never seems like it is shoehorned in to remind the audience that the show is about nerds.

The Leftovers had me going WTF a few times but especially the ending. That along with the "this season on the Leftovers" teaser afterwards really piqued my interest. I love Silicon Valley. Mike Judge FTW!

That garbage is pandering so hard,
Reading through here and talking with Mindy, I may have to check out Penny Dreadful.

Watched the pilot episode of Girl Meets World and from what I watched I will not be watching the rest of the season. I grew up on Boy Meets World and the new show is terrible. Thanks Disney for ruining another thing I grew up watching.

I'm thinking you may not fall in to their target demographic.
It's a young FEMALE meeting a whole different world than you grew up in.
Is Topanga still in it? Angela?

Topanga is, she's the mom.
The thing with girl meets world was that they were trying to make it a family draw, like the old TGIF block, rather than just aiming it at girls as another Hannah Montana. They brought Cory and Topanga back as the parents as a nostalgia draw and to make it relatable to the kids and parents- for the kids, it's the gmw angle, and for parents, it's watching someone you grew up with parent a teen and work and etc- which is what early 30s parents are going through now.
I haven't seen it, but from the things I've read, they really failed. Sounds like the script is just as bad as current tweenie vision, and the kid actors are awful. So it's just like Sam and cat, the thundermans-- every other crap show aimed at kids right now.

They picked some of the worst kid actors for the show. It's cringe worthy. I seriously felt embarrassed watching it. I hope they learn from the pilot episode and fix pretty much everything.

Orphan Black is sooo good. Tatiana Maslany is amazing, playing multiple roles. She deserves an Emmy. Another strong female lead I really like is Thandie Newton on Rogue, on DirecTV's Audience Network.
Oh and it only took 10-12 episodes but I'm finally really getting into Agents of SHIELD. I still have six episodes to watch. I'm up the the ones that coincide with the second Captain America flick so I need to get around to finally watching that too.

I'm not sure if I liked penny dreadful or loved it, but wow Eva Green is incredible.
The Leftovers is so weird... I know how the book goes- and I'm hoping it ends better.

Agreed. She definitely belongs on the list of outstanding female leads. Another I forgot to mention is Diane Kruger on The Bridge which season two premiered tonight on FX. She plays a brilliant homicide detective with Aspergers.
