sounds like you did your homework! good job! but for me it's not so much the getting the right gift as it is the "A" for effort the person put into it. i'd rather have my daughter make me a christmas card than actually buy me anything. i can buy most anything i want for myself, but i could never replicate something so intimate as a homemade card.
