btw if you decide to mod it, be careful. theres this security code thing and if you dont take it off perfect, then you will officially f*** up your 360. my dad says its a real pain to get past...

Depends what you mean by mod. Case mods(Making it look cool) arent Illegal..

Flash Mods are if you download games that you DO NOT own.

Idk, if you want to mod have fun with it.

I think anyone interested in modded 360's should be aware of the implications and possible consequences, and people that resent spending so much money on gaming should spend less time worrying about what's fair and more time doing an "entertainment budget"

i personally dont plan on ever modding, i just dont want to risk losing anything,

id rather pay 60 for a new game and have it working fine without any worries,

rather then payin 10 for the same game and me possibly getting banned and or losing my

gamerscore

ok obviously some ppl dont read. in my original post i said "SPARE" console. and its not the way you flash your system that gets you banned from XBL its the way you burn your games. if it doesnt read the security from the disc you will most definitely get banned. i have a modded system and play on XBL everyday with regular retail games and still havent had any problems. plus i don't think M$ is looking on forums that have around 250 members. thanks for the input even though noone answered my question. Admin please close thread...waste of space, sorry i asked.

What do you mean nobody answered your question? Last time I checked, part of your question was if anyone had a modded console and if so how was their experience. Several members already owned up to the fact, and gave you their experiences. Just because the discussion doesn't go in the direction you intended, doesn't give you the right to whine about it, they are public forums after all.

Also, about the comment on losing your gamerscore. I believe the only thing that gets banned is the console, not the profile.

Im not going to mod mine. Its just a waste. It could help for a litle bit, then they catch u and have to pay for another xbox if you want to play live

i have no interest in it.
there was a guy i worked with who said if i were to buy an original xbox (which were going for like 50 bucks at the time) he could have filled it up with tons and tons of old games. i guess it's the perfect machine for it or something.

it sounded really intriguing, and i almost did it be then of course he got laid off.
