It's not really a competition. 3DS has much better games right now. Also Monster Hunter 3 is alright. It can be quite difficult also.

Fire Emblem Awakening smokes 9/10 console games in both quality and depth. Easily the best portable release I have ever played. If anything EU is like Fire Emblem as it's been a Nintendo staple since 1990. It plays more similar to FF Tactics or Disgaea.

Yeah I would agree with that, they didn't have the best starters. For Black/White I went with Tepig, but for Black/White 2 I went with Oshawott
Oshawott's evolution duel wields detachable scimitars it grows in it's legs. That's hard for a pig and a garden snake to beat.
