Since we last had a fundraiser over 2 years ago, the number of members in the XboxAmerica community has grown by a staggering 4500%! So we hope everyone is willing to help us take the site to the next level.

We have some very big plans for XboxAmerica that are currently underway that includes a site facelift, as well as updates and upgrades behind the scenes. We also would like to expand the community event offerings to be more frequent. However, that takes much more money than is currently put into the site:

The benefits of donating to Xbox America:

- Keeps Xbox America up and running smoothly
- Allows us to expand and grow the site
- Those that donate at least $5 have the option to turn off ads*
- Receive a fancy award to show off on your profile page

All of your donations are put back into XboxAmerica to make it the best community experience we can. Some things this money covers:

- Hosting and domain expenses
- More stable website environment
- Upgrades to better software
- New features and functionality
- Community events expenses**

As a special incentive, if we reach or exceed our goal of $500 we will hold a special drawing for those that donate at least $5. One chance will be awarded to each individual for every $5 donated that will allow them to get in on some cool swag and prizes that I have collected over the years or bought myself. The list isnt finalized yet, but it will include a Limited Edition GTA IV Liberty Lady Statue, Ninja Gaiden II swag, Bully SE swag, GTA IV swag and GH Skinz for the Xbox 360 console and more. However, we will need to meet our donation goal for the contest to take place.

Edit: Make sure to send WitnessBoobie the details of the donation, including identifiable info such as the e-mail address used, amount, name and/or confirmation number, in a private message so we can record the donation.

Edit: Donations need to be processed manually, so it may be a few hours until your donation will be recorded and appear in the progress meter. The account is monitored as much as possible to make this process as quick as it can be.

After everything.... why didn't you ask for help from the XboxLiveArcade.com in your donations?

Everything what? Why would we need help with donations from XboxLiveArcade? This is XboxAmerica, not XboxLiveArcade and I certainly wouldn't expect another community site to come to us asking for donations to help cover their operating expenses. In fact, with over 20 days left in the month, our fantastic community has already met and exceeded our goal. It looks like we will probably be OK, but thanks for the offer...

Again, no offense but we have run many successful tournaments over the years at XboxOhio and now XboxAmerica. We really have no need for support or a partnership from another community for in-house tournaments that are designed to give back to the XboxAmerica community. The XbA Summer Tourney Series has been planned since last fall, and implemented successfully this month. XboxAmerica has over 10x the members of XboxLiveArcade and we are more than capable of holding our own fundraiser and tournaments.

If we have the need for a partner site in the future, we will contact those sites that we know are interested. We are always willing to support other sites with news posts about their events or throwing a shout-out in their direction (I suggest you listen to InsideTheNexus #1, about 2/3 the way through), but right now we are focused on taking XboxAmerica to the next level and giving back to our own community.

We are half way through the month folks and have so far exceeded expectations, so lets keep the momentum going!

We have met our minimum goal to cover operating expenses, but anything else that comes in will only enhance the community experience for everyone. For those of you that were still thinking of giving, now is as good a time as any.

Tell you what, if we get to $750, I will personally go out and buy a 1600 point card out of my own pocket and send the code to one lucky person that gave at least $5. This will be over and above all the prize and swag giveaways that we have planned.
