Has anyone tried the HDMI pass-thru with anything other than a TV box?
Also I am wondering if you can use the game DVR to record something other than xb1 titles, because I could finally make the terrible Rock Band & Guitar Hero videos I always imagined while playing.

I did it with my 360. It really wasn't impressive. Here's how to do it. Link
I didn't think of trying out the command of Xbox Record That.

I've seen a PS4 run pass through on Xbone, playing Killzone but it wasn't overly impressive. Unless you don't have a place for the input cable, I don't see a point for anything other than a TV box unless the recording thing works. I'm getting a job and using some of my parents' tax return dough to get my console and Battlefield 4 with premium. Although I don't have the console yet, I can still use the new smartglass app to see what everyone is doing with theirs and watch their videos. Both apps are tremendously useful for different things to me. Feel free to message me with recommendations for other games, but I already know about Peggle 2, Forza 5, and COD Ghosts.

Do not get BF4. I just tried to play it a couple days ago. Tried for 3 hours and literally got into one mp game with other people in it. That game is so broken it's ridiculous.

Only Quick Match is broken, searching Servers works perfectly fine and is an easy workaround.

Didn't work for me. Quick match was the only thing that eventually found a game and didn't give me a connection error message. As soon as I beat campaign the game was uninstalled. Biggest piece of junk shooter I've ever played (even though the campaign was entertaining).

I saw a live stream have that problem. He did what you said and it worked. He also had an infinite loading screen until he quit and restarted the game at dashboard. I've heard things are working better since a lot of at-release issues were fixed. I'm only getting it because Ghosts sucked in my opinion. The lag compensation makes it where I can shoot someone in the center of his chest at close range with a marksman rifle 3 times in hardcore s&r (dead teammate witnessed this as well and also called bullshit on it) and then they came around the bomb site and down the stairs to kill me. I consider the issues with Ghosts to be worse than what I've heard/seen on Battlefield. I was an IW fangirl until they ruined Ghosts for me. I really wanted to like it, but the frustration mounted too quickly and I can't have fun with it. Forza 5 was a pretty big letdown too, but I think it might be fixable in time and with DLC. I'm going to wait and see.

Every CoD is based on your ISP's ping since they don't use dedicated servers. BF is different, they use servers that's why it's more fair. My ping is always under 10ms on a Ookla Speedtest, which is fantastic for CoD games. Anything over 25ms and you'll never be able to win a gunfight unless the other person has a worse ping. Dedicated servers in BF are also the reason why you never see host migrations like CoD.
I'd wager your ping is garbage if you're getting lag like that in CoD.

I used to play online tethering via my A&TT 3G, 2Mb/s down 400 kb/s Up about 300 ms Ping 200 on a good day and I did decent, I play with about 25 Mb/s Down and 15 Mb/s Up and about 35 Ms ping now and hit detection is just as shitty granted I didn't even bother playing Ghosts

I never really had problems in MW2 or MW3 though. This is new. There was lag sometimes, but never outright glitchiness. My closest server is Dallas and that's 3 hours away. You get my crap 100k connection from Verizon or nothing where I live. We're pretty much the definition of nowhere Texas. Ping is usually 514 ms (better than 775 ms in 2011). I'm surprised Xbox Live even works for me to be honest.

well yes and no, they have dedicated servers now for COD Ghosts for all platforms, but if a p2p connection is faster then the game runs off that.
