go ahead and mark one off your list. 2/3 reviews i read said it had a unsatisfactory ending that just abruptly stopped. as i was telling ikidd earlier, prepare for a cliffhanger.

Glad I couldn't care less about 1, 2, or 3 or I'd dislike a LOT of games. Funny how different people's tastes are.

I hated Oblivion and Fallout for having WAY too much story...bored me to death. I play games for the gameplay, not for the story. I read books for the story.

Not saying any opinion is right or better, just find it amusing how different we all can be in what games we like to play and why.

i don't need to make a thread to tell you that I am already taking this game back and putting it towards Forza 4.

Just an overhyped reiteration of Borderlands. FML for spending the $30 to pay this shit off, I should have just waited like I kept telling myself to.

The game is okay I guess. Just like Borderlands but way sexier looking.

I read a review somewhere that said the game had a deep story.... Yeah... I dont see it yet. Ive just been running around and doing random things that people tell me do. Average little open world shooter. Not worth $60.

I'm loving the game so far. I've already found 3 different Easter eggs. Doom room, quake room, and the vault tech bobble head.

I started playing the Road Rage on line and never left that to start the real game. Most fun I've had on line since Black Ops.

Typically you can expect a "Shooter" to have a crap ending. Modern Warfare 2 had a good one but for some reason most seem to think less is more. Gears III's ending was intentionally shallow to make me buy DLC just to fill in the plot holes.

Plot? Story? Wrong game type. Give me great weapons and plenty of enemy melons to cap and THAT is a good Shooter. Wish Road Rage wasn't so addictive so I could play the other parts of the game.

Agreed...the stories in many games bore me and stop me from playing them. This one is right up my alley. Just let me play a game. If I want a story I'll read a book.

Agreed...the stories in many games bore me and stop me from playing them. This one is right up my alley. Just let me play a game. If I want a story I'll read a book.

There's no reason why a shooter's single player campaign can't have a decent, coherent storyline with a climactic ending. Especially if it's a game with a wide-open environment like Borderlands. You should get something out of all that running around. Some sense of accomplishment when finishing it. If all you want is nonstop mindless action and killing, that's what multiplayer is for.

There's no reason for ANY game to not have a coherent storyline. It's just not a priority for this genre. Some games like Dead Island just abandon narrative all together. I prefer a feeble attempt rather then no attempt.
