This game would be a questionable title with free multiplayer. For 10 bucks a month it's downright absurd. Go play Diablo III.

Aside from the fact that the games aren't similar in any way... Will playing Diablo 3 help me get the completion for PSU?

I think a party maxes out at 4? I can't remember, though. I also can't remember what level my characters are, haha. Or if they're even there... Sega may have deleted my stuff?
You can have a total of six players on a party. This includes partner machines and AI characters. Even if you haven't played in a while chances are your characters are still there...unless it's been more than 2 years when they purged inactive accounts.

Diablo 3 = setting $60 on fire = Blizzard/Activision laughs as your mother sucks cocks in hell
PSU = $20, plus $10 for 1 month = fun on your 360, +1000G

I started this game when i was young, as a kid i loved the way the game played and looked and i still do. Diablo is a more gritty game thatyou really can't compare. I played this game for fun, and have some great memories of it. The series to me is like what final fantasy is to other people, nostalgic.

Oh my bad I was thinking in terms of a game with no monthly fee and didin't feel extremely dated the day it was released. Nevermind six years later. Another dime a dozen easy completion perhaps. Not really the first thing that pops into my head. PSU is simplistic, shallow and repetitive. No mission variety and general laziness all-around. Nostalgia can only go so far.

Can it be 6 human players with no partner machines or ai, or is the max human # 4?
@Vermillion Haze, are you always this defensive when people don't agree with you? I wasn't trying to attack you, I'm just not a fan of comparing games of different genres. Lots of games have no monthly fee... Diablo is a single player dungeon crawler, with pVp. PSU is a mmorpg that allows you to do quests and take on bosses with friends, create items, raise an ai partner from scratch, and open your own store that people from all over the world can shop at. While it may have some issues in the execution, summing up the online experience based on the shitty single player mode, or comparing it to games in other genres that come out nearly 6 years later, is unfair.

Diablo is a also a "mmorpg that allows you to do quests and take on bosses with friends, create items, and hire and equip AI partners". Have you ever played it? Can't open up your own store though so I guess theres no comparison. They are not exactly the same but enough to be considered the same genre. Hack and slash RPG-dungeons/exporation/customization

Yeah, to be fair, the latest iteration of Diablo (ie 3) really is a borderline MMORPG.

Touche! Diablo II is both a much much better game and comparison then III. Has more in common with PSU then not. Despite being a vastly superior. Everything she listed about PSU could be explaining DII . Fun quests, fighting giant bosses with your friends, item creation, character building etc.
My original point was theres better "Free" alternatives then paying a monthly fee for mediocrity. Sorry If anyone got offended.

I don't consider psu a hack and slash dungeon crawler any more than I think a game that allows 4 players per world is an mmorpg, sorry. It's a game with multiplayer options. I don't see that much similarity between Diablo and PSU. Now if we were talking about Pokemon Dungeon, I'd agree with you. Unless Diablo 3 has totally changed the gameplay and quests and randomized dungeons, in which case I apologize.
And seriously- no store? No thanks. Customizing my room was awesome, and the part of PSU I spent the most time on.
I'm not arguing that PSU is a better game than even Diablo 1... But this thread is about PSU servers closing and people discussing getting together to get the 250 online while they still can, so I'm at a loss as to why you are posting as aggressively as you are, and kind of attacking the game. You're like 6 years too late for that discussion.
But no, I have not played Diablo 3... I'm waiting for them to fix all the errors and security issues... Oh, and port it to consoles and give it achievements! Have you played PSU online? I heard there are better options...

EXACTLY THIS
No matter what forum you go to, every thread has at least 1 person that comes in negatively to stir the pot

I do own this game, but have never played it only because of the subscription fee. I was actually pretty mad when they added online DLC after the original 1000 was all single player. That being said, I'd be willing to pony up the $10 if someone wants to carry me through the multiplayer, lol.
