As always, great article, Kat. Well worth reading.
The study by the Chinese - would that be classified as an editorial or an opinion piece? A study based on no research or methodology and without any sort of stated numbers; what else could it be??
Haha it's the same as political surveys in the us where they say "98% of Americans want _______" and the fine print says "a sample of 100 people..." I think it's more of a novelty item.

I don't always get excited about new games. But when I do it's usually not side projects from Square-Enix.

Soul Suspect looks like it could be an interesting IP. But Square Enix being attached makes me anything but calm.
...or interested. =/

For real, all of the games Squall-Enux produces are A++^3 excellent.

I did indeed like that game, but that was Square Enix London.
Regular old Squenix is really iffy.
More iffy than a Nixon 3 dollar bill. But hey they made good games a decade ago

I get the thought that video games might make someone seem less intelligent, especially when you play with all the toolbags that frequent CoD. But does Call of Duty make you dumb or is it simply Call of Duty attracts dumb people
(sorry CoD fans).
I'll remember that next time you want someone to boost COD 3 a 2nd time to help you get General..
Wait, I think I just proved your point there.....
That said, damn good read Kat, if that's your real name......

I thought only studs played COD. Every time I've ever played, I run into someone who says they banged my mom.
Just wanted to mention... This is pretty much the best comment ever.

I thought I had read somewhere Microsoft said that it will not charge any fees as part of these transfers. That gamers can only transfer their games to individuals who have been on their friends list for at 30 days and each game can only be transferred once.
Unattributed Quote:
Next time you call a game garbage, you might be talking about a treasure! The Canadian publishing company Fuel has obtained permission to dig through a landfill in New Mexico, where terrible, old Atari games are rumored to have been buried. That's right, they're exhuming ET. The game best described as "you play as a slimy space penis" is worth digging under 30 years of garbage for. New Mexican garbage, so 30 years worth of corpses of REAL aliens that has been sitting in uncomfortably warm conditions. Good luck to you, good sirs. I will not be joining you, or even thinking about this again.
WTF is this about? What is so wrong with New Mexican Garbage? On the alien portion of it, are you referring to what went down in Roswell or the illegal alien portion of it? It's not uncomfortably warm here, at times it's down right fucking hot.
Good read all in all. I've been a huge fan of Square Enix since the original Final Fantasy came out for Nintendo. Now I'm reminiscing of the good days of Square Soft games. Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, SaGa Frontier, Parasite Eve, Xenogears, one of my big time favorites, Secrets of Evermore. Square Enix has been fairly consistent in putting out top notch titles.
