Why did he get to take a job that pays 40% less than what he was making because he didn't like the schedule, and now he gets to go after my husband's income- when my husband has been paying for basic necessities for my daughter for years already??

Agreed. And what the people who do this shit don't see, because they don't care to, is how much it hurts the kids too. Kids aren't stupid, they will come to understand in time which parent cared for them and which used them. There's a reason my real mother hasn't met my youngest son, and has only met my oldest because she was at the same place at the same time as me twice.

Yeah, she doesn't seem to be too pleased with her father. He's gonna be really sorry in about 10 years when his daughter decides not to let him anywhere near her children.
I have 3 boys, all teenagers, and my good for nothing father has never met them. He was a jerk and probably still is. I am certain that by now he regrets being a jerk but I don't care, I don't trust him and I don't want him in my life. Your ex is gonna be in the same position. It's a steep price he will pay and my ex - I believe - will be paying the same price if she doesn't wake up.
