your gaming style

i've been a member here for quite some time now, and i always look at people's recently played games. it usually changes pretty quickly. personally, i buy a game, and i spend a long time with it. usually trying to complete it, lol. i've noticed that most users here don't do that though.

like, some guys and gals will have 3 or 4 games under their tag, and a couple days later the list is completely different. why is that? it boggles the mind!

i can understand if you don't have a certain preference, i suppose. like taco was playing fallout yesterday, and then gears tonight. (correct me, taco, if i am mistaken) but even that isn't that big of a deal. some people say they just did such and such in a game, but then they have like 4 new games in their recently played list.

i dunno... maybe i should have made this into a poll.
do you go back and forth, or do you stick with one game at a time?

I'm amazed how fast people's gamercards change. I haven't played Madden 09 in almost a month, and Halo 3. I usually just stick to one game, I never play more than one game a day.

Lol, I've only played two games in the month of March. I guess me being too cheap to buy any new games has something to do with it

I usually play one title frequently and a few others here and there. I keep about 4 games up at a time in this way.

wel, lately ive been doing lots of fallout itching to 1k it. but personally i find it easier to play fallout and talk to people, so i don't seem so bored alot when im looking for something. so i usually make some progression towards an achievement, or get one, then me and my friends do some MP (me and tyler l4d, me ryan tyler some others halo 3, me tyler kevin gow2, me ryan ewin and davon cod:w@w(which now suxz0rz and i plan on trading it in soon for maybe some mPoints and progression towards pre-ordering odst or mw2) and sometimes tyler and ewin try to drag me onto gta4 free mode)

but i usually swap around (obviously) depends on what me and my friends feel like doing. sometimes if its just me and tyler, unless kevin is on, we're on l4d getting achievements. if ryan is on, its usually halo 3 (or it has been halo recently, it used to be w@w)

I personally have been playing XBLA almost exclusively lately. Hexic is almost always in my top 4! I don't know, it's just that lately I have found it difficult to decide on a disc to throw in and arcade titles are very convenient.

My style is completionist for sure. I will rarely even touch a game that I can't get at least half of the achievement points. (relative to the amount of time I wish to put into it!) I got many arcade titles before I became a completionist. So now I'm revisiting some of these old XBLA titles to pick up some straggler achievements to work toward my goal of 75% completion percentage!

With that in mind, I will probably be setting up some XBLA boosting events in the near future for anyone with some arcade games that have been collecting dust!

Yea, I'm typically like Malice; I will try to stick to one game's single player exclusively, and then play whatever for multiplayer. I also relax with some Rock Band/GH rhythm games. I wouldn't be able to play those non-stop, but they are a nice break from the other stuff. I'm trying to get my completion percentage around 50; I like to rent a lot of games, and I just have so many that I do tend to jump around a little, but I'm trying to go back and bump up some of the low numbers to at least 500.

I constantly am switching games. I have about 35 or so on my shelf I consistently switch between in addition to renting games and the 2 gamefly sends me every week so yeah, my gamercard totally changes on a day-to-day basis. The only exception is when a truly brilliant game comes out (like Fallout 3), then I will spend every waking moment on the game unless I need break from it.

I agree with evol on the arcade games...I been playing a few of the arcade games that I have had for a while but never put much effort into playing, so i can get a couple more of the achievements...and i also agree with raine because i play whatever im in the mood for.

I usually play a lot of different games at one time unless one really sticks to me and gets me interested. But even then I will play other games while im playing that one.

I usually stick to a set of games, like Halo 3, Fallout 3 and COD 4. It all depends on my mood I guess. Sometimes I want to so some team related action, or go at it alone when I have a few hours to kill. But every now and then I'll take an older game out and rediscover how awesome it was. Ex. Oblivion
