So far I have enjoyed all the MCU films, but I definitely like some more than others.

What has been your favourite MCU phase 1 film(s) and why?

I enjoyed Iron Man a lot -- I wasn't expecting anything, but it was fun with good action, RDJ absolutely kills as Tony Stark, and this flick did a great job setting the tone for the MCU.

Thor was good just because I like the character a lot and it was fun watching him fight The Destroyer. Also, Lady Sif is cool.

Avengers was good because it was fun seeing the established characters come together and interact, Mark Ruffalo made a great Dr Banner/Hulk, and I like that it felt like a genuine Avengers story.

Iron Man 2 was unexciting to me, and I don't like that particular Hulk movie even if Ed Norton was good as the main character.

I watched the first phase backwards. The last hulk movies kind of turned me off Marvel character movies for a while, but once I saw avengers I went back to catch up. I think most of these were kind of origins-y, so they were slow compared to Avengers, so it stayed my fave.

The Original Iron-Man movie (Not the horribad sequels) is actually a great movie by any standard. It stands up to Christopher Nolans work quite well and single handedly made RDJ one of the biggest names in Hollywood. It's a damn shame as a trilogy it has to carry it's sequels like a plague ridden invalid and somewhat sours the greatness it achieved.
