Re: your best / favorite cod mw2 class setup

Actually the Barrett is the best sniper gun in the game. Intervention is just for coolness. Reason being is that Intervention DOES have recoil, you're just reloading so you don't see as much of it. If you just wait a second (same amount of time in reality) you're no worse off with the Barrett. So yea you can fire quicker but your second shot is off somewhere else...Why would that ever be a good thing? Because if someone is close and on top of you then you can almost "blindfire" I want to say and hit them. Whereas you can't as quickly shoot again with the intervention because the reload is part of the recoil process. The other major advantage is that you get more ammunition (which may have changed recently).
Now. That said.
I use all the sniper rifles really. Each kinda have their styles and benefits. The WA2000 is the ONLY one I'd use with cold-blooded because it doesn't make a difference. The damage multipliers... You still need the two hits. The WA2000 and even the EBR (which I'm loving right now) are awesome run and gun type sniper rifles. I will use the EBR with ACOG scope and be more aggressive (opposed to more camping). It has just about zero recoil so you can double tap.
The Barrett I will use if I feel like playing more conservatively, but since I use and recommend sleight of hand with ALL sniper rifles, you can play aggressive with them all really. That means moving around always and zooming in quick only to fire. (Youtube Hutch sniping)
For other setups and strategies I've been going with a nice stealth class lately.
Perks:
Bling, Cold-Blooded, Ninja
Primary: M16 with ACOG and Silencer
(thinking about switching to FAL because it has greater damage and from a distance your bursts really aren't all connecting anyway, but the M16 will have the edge in close combat. I think the ACR is awesome, but without scavenger, you're at the same problem as with the P90, you run outa ammo, not enough damage per bullet)
Secondary: Raffica with Red Dot and Silencer
(this is actually probably just as good as the m16 and makes up for the fact that you aren't running around with scavenger in many cases it really is just more ammo/backup. But do NOT under-estimate this gun it is amazing, you can use it like a primary, I have outsniped snipers with it)
Equipment: Throwing Knife, stun grenades
I just like the throwing knife for fun with the stealth class. Tactical insertion has its benefits obviously here too because you can keep re-spawning behind enemy lines. Of course grenades are always super useful too. It's whatever you like.
I'm also going to share what I found out to be a really really good tactic (after practice) for domination and even team deathmatch (via ground war).
It's two classes. The "mover" and the "shooter" basically.
You use one man army, so scratch secondary and perk 1 slot right. Big bummer. BUT.
MOVER
Primary: Whatever you want but ensure it's silenced
(i like m16 or ACR because I find the ACR's iron sights decent but don't worry you wont be on this class and shooting much)
Equipment: Tactical insertion, smoke or stun or flash (depending on preference but tactical insert a MUST)
Perks: One man army of course, Cold-Blooded, Ninja
and the other class...
SHOOTER
Primary: Sniper of choice (say the barrett with thermal)
Perks: One man army, Stopping Power, up to you (i like steady aim but others are good too)
Equipment: Claymore, smoke or whatever
.......Ok.
So how's this bad boy work?
Your main class that you choose is the mover. You get into position (shoot anyone you can safely and cleanly kill otherwise just keep moving and do not give away your position). Get to where you want, drop the tactical insertion.
Use one man army to switch to the shooter. Now you can snipe from that location and drop a claymore for protection.
Now. What happens when the claymore goes boom? What happens if you run out of ammo?
You have one many army! Use one man army to switch to the SAME shooter class again. Replant your claymore and look at that, you're full of ammo.
This is the ultimate camper setup. It's also not bad if you aren't a camper because you can now safely move.
It's basically everything you dreamed of with a sniper class. See you can't have a silenced sniper rifle nor can you really use cold-blooded and expect a one hit one kill. Your sniper is too underpowered without stopping power.
So with this....You get the best of both worlds. You also don't have to decide either the age old question of equipment. Do I use a tactical insertion or do I cover my butt with a claymore? You get both.
Can you further expand upon this? Yes, but you're using up a lot of custom class slots then.
There was a time when I had a 3rd class in this strategy. It was a "MEDIUM ENGAGEMENT" class. That I had the WA2000 with cold-blooded and the ACOG scope typically but that isn't mandatory, good alternatives would be thermal really - silencer is a waste though I suppose if you want some assists have at it...The extended mags? No point. You have one man army... I knew it was a 2hit to kill class, but it was just nice to have something inbetween the mover and shooter. You can also use EBR like that too since it's amazing with an ACOG scope - no recoil. The WA2000 has acceptable recoil and with cold-blooded you're half stealthed anyway. Don't worry about steady aim because you have the ACOG so Ninja again there. It can almost serve as your mover class. I just suggest silenced weapons for your mover class and something that you have better odds of coming out alive from a close engagement for that.
So again. There's a good one man army tip. The only other real clever use of OMA that I saw was noob tubing but that's just super lame.
